1.
Seem to be less valve options than I expected. Or maybe I just don't quite know what I'm doing
Bit of both possibly The more I tinker the better the results I get
 2.
Pics in the Cog Pron thread or that post is worthless
Well still sorting something out with the etch as I've gone for something unique that's Tom hasn't done before and I want to keep it under wraps here's the mock up pic
 3.
I'm really grateful for all these replies but something has just caught my eye, the TC Electronic BG250 combos. They have a 250w 15" combo that's only a few kg heavier than this Markbass and it's only £300. So is there are catch or something? :S
Not really but yiu can not use an extension cab with it if memory serves me correct
 4.
Just finished my first gig using Jamup and the Sonic Port. I'm seriously impressed. Cuts down on so much gear.
What did you use gear and settings wise?!
 5.
I would have brought this had it had a bridge pickup, but I went with a dual pickup Finn instead. To anyone thinking of buying this, do it. Great basses from ACG, can't seem put mine down.
It is a great bass and the p retro allows you to exploit the one pup to get a good variety of tones. My custom ACG has a PB at the neck and an RFB at the bridge. All coupled through a four way switch and p retro
 6. Didn't manage to take pictures over the weekend but will soon
 7.
If I was using a DHA for dirt, I'd do the same as sk8. If I was using the DHA as a pre amp, I'd put it last. But, that doesn't mean I wouldn't shift things about to see how they sounded. Always do that & see what you like.
What he said
 8. if it was me i'd put the chorus after the DHA
 9. I run to Purple Chili 112s and they are fantastic
 10.
Thinking of trying this out... but on an iPhone 5. Think it'll manage?
Aye!
 11.
I'm wondering how this compares to a jazz - in terms of sound, though I'm familiar with the U-retro preamp and know you can get a massive range of sounds from that one, but also in terms of general feel and playability.
As sounds go it only has one pup BUT the p retro allows you to choose and boost the mids so you can get some honk. I always backed off the bridge and had the neck pup full on my jazzes so that was more of a thumpy sound anyway. As far as in the hand goes it's got a 40mm nut width so slightly wider than a traditional jazz at 38mm but I would say it is a faster neck than any jazz I have had and it feels great in the hand
 12. Sold Gareth a pedal. Good comms and quick payment. Recommended
 13. There is a paint chip on the back of the bass. I'll take some pictures over the weekend
 14.
Probably an impossible question to answer, but how does it compare tonally to a Precision?
Having a Fender MIA P I can say it compares very favourably and the p retro allows you to dial in mid cut thump or mid hump clank Through headphones they sound pretty much the same
 15.
Cool, and is it loud? People always talk about under powering cabs, no chance of that? Ta.
Loud is relative. If you look in the picture you'll see that it's barely turned up! I think it is loud for what it is and in the right situation would be giggable
 16.
MB1. Thread Reopened BUMP!.
Thank you Will get updated pics
 17.
Would you be able to whack this on a pedal board, and use the EHX 44 Magnum as a power amp straight into a cab? http://www.ehx.com/products/44-magnum
Yes
