2.
Tell me about Purple Chilli? What made you decide on them for the build?
This is the third build mike has done for me. I got to know of him through another forum. I have more traditional leanings and mike has always been very receptive to what I want. My gigging rig is also built by mike and I was the beta tester for the phat bass head before he released it to other customers. He is a very skilled builder and he has done me proud each time and when I wanted a Tele bass and couldn't find a production one I liked I knew where I was going plus I like to be a bit different and not have a shuker! Plus he does easy payment options to

  12.
Oh my Lord - 34kg. I was really interested until I checked the weight. For anyone who can cope with it's sheer mass, it's a cracking amp for the price.
It's is a bit weighty

  16. Need to make space and money so looking if there is any interest in this. Boss spiel Just as the CUBE guitar-amp family received an XL upgrade, now it's time for the CUBE BASS line to reach XL status. The new CUBE XL BASS amplifiers remain portable and travel friendly, a CUBE tradition, but they benefit from new-generation XL performance enhancements. These new amps deliver a knock-out punch with custom FFP and COSM technology. FFP is one of Roland's core technologies in which each component — amp, cabinet, and speaker — achieves maximum efficiency and performance for incredible power from a compact body. The mid-size CUBE-60XL BASS provides 60 watts of power in a portable cabinet that's great for rehearsals and gigs alike. It has a Solo channel with memory, eight COSM amp models, 3-band EQ, on-board effects, and a world's first, built-in Looper for constructing stacks of sound in real-time! Compact 60-watt bass amp with custom-designed 10-inch coaxial speaker Dual custom-designed Air Flow Port for deep bass and punchy sound Eight COSM amp models, including the new SUPER LOW amp Seven effects, including the new DRIVE and POLY OCTAVE SOLO function with memory for use as a second channel POWER SQUEEZER for big, rich sound at low volumes Phrase Looper onboard for sound-on-sound recording with unlimited overdubs Three-band EQ for fine-tuning your sound Built-in chromatic bass tuner with drop tuning support Fully loaded and surprisingly loud! £175 collected from Bath/Bristol Would trade for a bass Cube 20xl in Excellent condition

    ACG build
OK spec. finalised. I took some inspiration from sk8's ACG bass and, always mindful of GreeneKing's comments on that very same thread, here's my spec.: Body: Wenge top on Alder Neck: 3-piece Maple with Maple board, 34" scale fretted Black hardware PB single split coil p/up ACG EQ02 3k The body was one that Alan had available:
Nice! Bare wood is for wimps
