... C'mon Col, I'm only kidding! Ok. It's not gibberish. Did we just hijack the thread btw ? Sorry everyone! No really - what's the emoticon for 'a bit embarrassed'? yours self-depracatingly, Sime PS: Still haven't watched the clip...
-
I knew you guys'd understand - I've seen BBC Alba too ! To their credit - I don't think the Yorkshire and Cornish types have taken the extreme measure of dedicating a whole tv channel to gibberish. Yet. Still can't bring myself to watch the clip....
-
Not as far as I know sir - but the man's clearly a genius so compliment duly accepted BTW - having now read the op a bit more I can see he liked the clip so please excuse my cynicism - I still haven't had the heart to watch it and therefore I'm unable to judge exactly how guilty I should feel for my scorn-pouring- but I will just say that if it's good then it was probably in the minority on S4C that particular evening. Most of the channel is exactly like watching the 'channel 9' bits on the Fast Show, just without the suntans and Chris Woddle references. I'm genuinely horrified to think what people accidentally tuning-in to some of it must think of us .

Being actually proper Welsh and that, I can confirm that Welsh the language doesn't really exist - it's just gibberish they're making up on the spot purely to be annoying. Particularly north walians. Even my dad pretends to speak it from time to time and other people pretend to understand. That being said, I'd like to watch the clip to try and i.d. the bass but I fear I'd become mortally embarrassed by it. From bitter personal experience it appears that Welsh language tv (it's gibberish remember) would actually let a monkey on if it pretended to be speaking Welsh. PLEASE don't think that people in Wales actually watch this stuff and think it's good. FFS my tax has gone into making that. And I can say this cos I am Welsh. AND I don't even like rugby. Go figure. Anyway, what was the question?
Mr Tumble Justin Fletcher had a Ricky of some sort in one of cebeebies links.
Not seen that, it must be quite recent, but my 6 yr old has moved on to cbbc now so i don't get to watch cbeebies much anymore (the face is more to do with the teenage tracy beaker attitude it's givin her...)
The lovely Sarah-Jane Honeywell from cbeebies plays bass. I once saw her play a bit on Tikkabilla. I can't find a picture or YouTube clip, so this is a picture of her not playing bass!
Mmm.... Sarah Jane off CBeebies..... Nice to see I'm not the only dad on here who finds himself letching after his daughter's tv idols. Either that or you're a student.

I know - I know! You're the voice of my conscience Dave! I've absolutely adored this bass, bonded with it in a way that I never really did with my 55-02 (as lovely as that is). It's just delivered the goods night after night since I got it, always looked and sounded classy, never let me down etc. But since getting the Stingray I'm just not playing either of my Laklands any more and that's not good - I can't afford to keep stuff that I don't use and they deserve to go to someone who'll get inspired and fall for them like I did. Something about the 'ray really feels like coming home tho, particularly the neck - maybe its scale length or string spacing suiting my stubby fingers and rubbish technique (never been taught)! It just feels more comfortable to me now. The fear of one-trick pony-ness held me off Stingrays for years but the double pickup HH and HS models seem to answer that, plus the party band I play for segues everything and I don't get to stop playing for more than a second from the start of the set to the finish - I find the Stingray's pup selector really quick and intuitive to change sound from p-ish to j-ish to ray-ish. It's all kind of put the spoilers on me using the DJ5! Somebody else will give this a better home. If I get to miss it too much I'll maybe have to try to find a J5 with dimensions that are more like the 'ray - the Mayones Jabba sounds like a good example (in terms of build/sound/value). Whilst your words echo in my head
