  1. Open to offers folks, need to get this moved! 🙂👍
  2. Hey man! Yeah I A/B'd both for a good while before deciding (I'm terribly indecisive anyway), and although they were both good, the Shuttle hit the spot better for me. It's got more clean POWER for me, without getting as mushy (not that streamliner could be described as a mushy amp!), but equally you can bump the input gain, lows/ low mids, dial back the treble, and get a nice old school grind going on. Very versatile amp imho, the better of the two if getting a rock solid clean/neutral sound is important to you IMHO. Let me know if you're interested! 🙂👌
  3. Hi Steve, do you know what the weight is please mate?
  4. Plus the cost of the ultra lights. Besides which, who is gonna be looking at the back of the headstock? I believe the OP said he could supply the original tuners too, resolving the 'hole' issue. Secretly a bit gutted this is under offer, it looks sweeeeeet! 🙂👌
  5. Ah good point, I assumed the 0.9lb quoted was supposed to be 9lb. Does look a cracking bass, despite the weight!
  6. I believe this is the same bass I've seen on Facebook, and the OP told me it's around 5kg, which is massively heavy for me. I prefer 4kg or under ideally.
  7. Would love one of these, just wish they were lighter!
  8. Hi folks, For sale is my immaculate Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2, which I've owned since new, and despite having gigged it extensively, I've really looked after it and it's in fantastic condition. I upgraded the stock Ruby 12AX7 for a Tung-sol, which is a better quality tube and made a difference to my ears. These are highly regarded amps, and rightly so. They are generally very neutral and transparent, capable of incredible clean sounds, but also thanks to the tube preamp and parametric mid range, you can get some nice old school grind buy boosting the input gain and low mids too. A very versatile amp indeed! All the connections you could possibly want, massive power, and very lightweight and compact. Full specs here: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2824&sid=394&cid=95 Any questions, please let me know. Courier delivery for mainland UK can be arranged at cost. Thanks for looking! 😁👍
  9. Hi papaya! WOW what a looker! What's the weight please? Thanks
  10. Bump! Brand new custom bass at a big discount!
  11. Hi folks! So, who would like a BRAND NEW Sandberg without the wait! (Current build time is approx. 9-10 months) This fantastic bass was ordered by me earlier in the year, and received a few weeks ago. It has only been tried briefly at my home, has not left the house, and still has all the film and tags attached, plus the Sandberg gig bag and original box. It is 'newer' than most 'New' basses in music shops. It features an alder body, high gloss virgin white finish, maple fretboard with Black block inlays, chrome hardware, the coveted Black Label pickups, and 2 band preamp. Weight is 4kg. MSRP on this bass is €1967 It really is an incredible instrument, so why am I selling it you may ask? Well, I'm incredibly fussy, and for me it just doesn't quite 'feel' the same as my other two Sandbergs I've owned for years now. Any questions, please let me know, and thanks for looking!
  12. Thanks Mark! It's one of the Italian made ones I'm looking at, and the way you've described it is exactly what I'm looking for! Is it really that big though? Need to check the specs again!
  13. Hi folks! Currently considering going back to a 4x10 from my current 2x12, and just wondered if anyone here had any experiences to share regarding the Markbass STD 104HF? I've had positive experiences with Markbass gear in the past (CMD102p + TRV115), but never this particular cab. It looks to tick all the boxes for me, but I'd be grateful for any real world experiences. Any help appreciated, cheers!
  14. This is pretty much where I'm at.... . Would love to ditch the rat race and build basses, even if i don't earn as much! I'm an ex carpenter so have skills... but I've never made a bass before.... making and fretting the neck, i wouldn't be sure where to learn those skills.... confident i could do the rest competently. If anyone has any advice I'm all ears!
  15. Tbh the show has put me in a bit of a quandary about my recent Sandberg order..... I've gone for a pretty 'safe' colour, but at the show i was really attracted to all the bright/ colourful/ glittery finishes...... hmmmm......
  16. I went looking for the SBL bit early on but couldn't find it.... and then got distracted and forgot to resume my search! Where was it? Etta Ros seemed very nice, is she a well known player?
  17. Those Tuli basses were stunning! And very ergonomically designed. I didn't even ask the price.....
  18. Also, @ped, i was chatting to you and completely forgot to introduce myself (old big vs new small trace rigs!)
  19. I was really interested in trying some of the cort stuff today, but it all seemed to sound terrible through the little practice amp they had, no matter what i did with it.....
  20. Well, I've had a great time today. Wish i could've stayed a bit longer, but a 3.5 hour trip each way means i can't! Thought the show was much better laid out this year, although Eich and Darkglass/Emma could've done with being down the other end with all the other amps: I was trying out a Bass at Bass Direct's stand, and couldn't hear it even with the headphones maxed! Enjoyed looking at all the cool gear, and as always catching up with people. Nice to meet a few fellow BCers this year too! Saw Snow Owl in the auditorium, who seemed like a thoroughly nice bloke and a very competent player. And despite all the shiny stuff, the show actually allayed any GAS by confirming that nothing feels as 'right' for me as my Sandbergs! Only purchase was a Gruv Gear 4" neo strap, which seems epic! I did nearly fall in love..... Warwick custom shop thumb 5 single cut.... sounded INCREDIBLE and felt amazing too! However, over £6k and seemed to weigh about 20lbs, so a definite no-go! Might have to look at going Saturday next time, take the wife and stay over to make the most of it, just need to leave my 3 short-scale TRB's with someone......
  21. On my way now, overslept though and it was lashing down when i left home, so not the best start..... Seems a bit brighter down here though, and no snow!
