1. I think any blocks are fine as long as they suit the bass, as in most of the examples above. Don't like the black blocks and seafoam green though! It looks like a proper cut 'n' shut job! FWIW I think that P/J is about the best pickup combo for a passive bass!
2.
Come on duudes!!!!
Thanks man! Sunny Saturday morning bump!
3. Gotta be honest, I don't think the SRX300 are anywhere near as good as the SR300, in terms of feel, sound, and build quality. If you want a cheap, versatile, quality starter bass, I would look for a used Yamaha RBX270. Awesome basses for about £100 (give or take) used, and easy to modify. I've got one that I use as a backup/practice bass. I upgraded the pickups, wiring and bridge, and it's killer! I would gladly play it on any gig.
4.
i think their imbuia is stunning!!
It is beautiful, but I'm not really a "posh wood" sorta guy!
5.
I wouldn't choose any of those but then it's not for me, is it?
What colour would you choose given a free choice then?
6. Bumparoo! Anyone out there.......
7. I think Sandberg have made those for a few of their bigger stockists. PMT Brum have got one there with their logo painted on it. Don't think I'd like 'em, neck must feel like half a broom handle!
8. Mmmm... The tobaccoburst 6er with the maple board and black hardware looks nice too.... This is hopeless!
9. UPDATE: Still can't decide...... Got the money for the deposit burning a hole in my pocket, but can't order because I can't bloody decide! Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh! Option 2 is out for sure, but I have also been contemplating violetburst/maple. This is driving me mental! Don't think I've been in the position to order a new bass in whatever finish I want for about 15 years, so I'm not used to doing this!
10. Boing boing boing BUMP!
11.
My guess is they started out small, making small amounts and selling mainly in germany.
I think they still are a small firm really, I'm sure I read that there's less than 10 people working there! I think you're right, they probably haven't been selling Internationally for that long, and even though they have a worldwide presence now they're still relatively unknown by a lot of people
12. I've often wondered about old ones. I've heard that Greenburst Basics will be worth loads in the future!

Sold!

Have a bump on me dude!
14. Thanks for all the comments guys! I don't know how I can explain any more emphatically than I have on BC dozens of times before just how good these basses are! If anyone is interested in this bass, get in touch with Primebass for a testimonial; he's just bought the natural one and he's over the moon with it!
15. Nooooooo! If you love it just keep it and use it, don't worry about the odd ding! It's a bass guitar, it was designed to be played! Good luck with the sale though if you don't come to your senses!
16. BOOM! Big price drop!
17. Thanks everyone for voting and sharing your opinions. I still can't decide though! I think if I go for the cherryburst, I'll have to pay extra for swamp ash to keep the weight down. My gloss black KT5 (which is alder) only weighs about 7.5lb!
18.
Well... my issues with PMT have been well documented on here so I won't pass comment on them again! That basic is lovely though, sure you won't have any problems shifting it . Who you going through in Germany?
Oh really, i must have missed that! Can you link me to a thread? Might save me some hassle..... The Basic should sell because it's a great bass, but I might have a problem if it hasn't sold in time to pay the balance! I've been talking to Session Music, and they've been really helpful.
19. Bump! Please make me an offer, even if you feel it's a bit cheeky! I will possibly be part-exing this if noone buys it here.
20. Well, Cherry Sunburst/Maple in the lead still, although Virgin White not far behind. Just realised they do the Brown burst high gloss on the KT too, might look nice with a maple neck...
21.
Neither can I. My geddy will stay around for sentimental reasons, but Sandberg really seem to have improved upon every aspect of the fender design. Germans, eh? . And I understand what you're saying, once my tour is over I'm going to be moving down to my geddy, the sandberg and my MTD. Have no need for anything else . Also I've voted! Whenabouts you hoping to put the order in? Never had a glockenlang preamp before this and I must say it is wonderful. Again, german engineering seems to be spot on!
Hoping to put the order in ASAP, but I don't know whether to order from Germany (cheapest) and hope that I sell my Greenburst Basic before I have to pay the balance, or pay a bit more and go through PMT who will take my Basic in part-ex (although they probably won't offer me much for it!). I need to decide which finish I want too of course!
