1. Bump. Anyone out there? C'mon I've got some serious gas to fund!
2. Looks nice! What's the neck like? Do you know what the weight is? Ta
3. Been away for a while bump! Make me an offer on the greenburst! It needs to go!
4. I do have a tendency to do it, more so if I'm really tired. We did two 1.5hr sets with a short break in between on new years eve, and I did zone out several times! Of course, if I'm playing something I know I really need to concentrate and be on the ball with, I'm fully focused, but if it's songs that I know inside out I can quite easily drift away..... I think just the right level of zoning out really optimises my playing, but if I zone out too much I can lose track of what I'm doing!
5. Title edited. Apparently use of the word "awesome" is frowned upon on Basschat now......
6. Sale pending on the Natural one. Greenburst still available!
7.
I think the necks are the same width hence the 5 string feels narrow compared to the 4. Can anyone confirm this? The neck on my 4 string is wide, but not too deep. It's very comfortable but I find I can adapt to wide P necks or J width quite easily. Anyway, they are stunning basses at an amazing price, especially used. Frank.
Thanks Frank, that's very helpful. Are you saying then that you feel that P necks feel chunkier than the G&L?
8. I'm not normally that into 'rays, but this........ Would you accept a Sandberg Basic, assorted internal organs, my wife, house, etc, etc.................
9. Kinda surprised no-one else has got an opinion about G&L's........
10. I think it looks ace, but surely it is gonna neck-dive like a bitch! Nice to see something a bit different from Fender for a change. Twin 'buckers, mmmmmmmm.........
11.
They're excellent. I've had a four and five string and regret selling both! The necks on the four strings are chunky. The five string is, I think, narrower spacing and felt similar to a five string stingray to me.
Interesting.... I don't have a problem with wide fretboards, but I'm quite interested in what the depth is like front to back, and whether the neck profile flattens out a bit in the middle or is quite round.
12. Very tempted to get one of these at the moment, but I'm unable to try it first. I've played the 4 string before, and felt the neck was a bit chunky, but I've never played a 5. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion about these, and if anyone can tell me about the neck or compare it to anything else? Thanks.

One of my dream basses wish I had some money Have a bump on me!
14. About the best bass you can get at this price point IMO. Unbelievably good for the money, with a real quality feel and sound.

Sold!

Despite my feelings about the necks on these (I have only tried the 4's mind you), I keep finding myself looking at this bass..... I'm gagging for an ash bodied 5er with a maple board. Shame I can't tempt you with my lovely greenburst Sandberg, or we could well have a trade going on.......
16.
My offer is still open
Thanks for the offer, but I'm really not after an acoustic.
17. Up to the top! Still quite a lot of interest, but both still available at present!
18. Damnit....... Been playing them both at home tonight, and I'm really tempted to keep them.... I might possibly consider a trade for a nice 5-string if anyone's got anything they want to offer up.... Ain't GAS a b'tard!
