1. Urgh. I'm getting so tired of all this. Due to my various physical limitations, I must have tried nearly 30 basses over the past 4 years, and I think I'm no closer to finding what I actually want. It's not tone that's the problem - basically every bass I play sounds like me playing it. But comfort wise, I'm really having trouble. I've got a totally knackered back, meaning any bass over 8.5lbs is a total no-go. My hands are small so I'm having trouble with the neck of my P. Shoulder is a bit dodgy so anything that neck dives is out. Great big cyst in my right wrist joint and subsequent issues with bending it makes slab bodies out. Recurring tendonitis, means my action needs to be less than 2mm with a dead straight neck. And finally, a previously torn and ill-repaired ligament in my left wrist means I have pain when playing anything below 3rd fret. I'm just about ready to throw in the towel and sell everything up, but before I do, does anyone have any ideas what basses I could try that might suit me?
2. But do you have the best bass for metal?
3. FWIW, I didn't start this thread with the intention of it turning into an attack on the guy, just wanted to share my amazement at his tenacity.
4. I can't believe he's still going on about it. No one agrees, but he'll argue to the death that he's right. If it were me I'd have got bored a long time ago.

Martin bought a strap from me. No problems at all, very easy transaction, thanks mate!
7. I love D'Addario Chromes, I use the custom light gauge 40-100. If I had the money though, I'd love to try TI Jazz Flats.
8. Easy transaction with Mike on a stand, thanks dude
9. An absolute bargain eh? A lot of cab for not much cash. This is now sold as of an hour ago.
10.
'Evil Undead' I would say it was woven, but I'm not certain how to name these methods etc I'll get a pic up for you after work tomorrow if you like? MB1. Cheers!
Just for you Mr MB1
11. Ibanez soundgear is the first that springs to mind. Also, I had a '94 passive Warwick Corvette (german) that had a ridiculously thin neck.

14. I've only ever played a few Fenders. One was a 60th Anniversary MIA that was nice, but the shop setup wasn't great. One was a MIM Jazz that I don't think I would have taken if the shop owner had given it to me for free. And my MIA P that's just amazing, although I did have to set it up and shim the neck a little.
15. Sold a Squier bass to BMBR. No problems at all, and he was very understanding that I forgot to put the tugbar on and am sending it separately! Thanks dude
16. Thanks Stevie. Crazy price drop now folks, and this really is a great price for the amount of cab you get.
17. Come on guys, £325 posted is a great deal. Fantastic bass for not much cash!
18. I genuinely can't believe that a 2x12 cab of this quality and reasonable price is still here. What am I doing wrong guys?
