1. I know what items I want. I guess I'm just really nervous about them being discontinued or something in the time it takes me to save the money. Neither item comes up on the used market very often. I don't want to miss out.
2.
I think you're going to be out of luck there. Why not go for a 0% interest arrangement? http://www.dawsons.c...nce-information
Really? Bummer. Nah, I don't want to get credit. Thanks anyway.
Why not just save up the money and then spend it ? Why does the gear have to be laid away ? Why not just save up and buy it new when you have the money ?
I'm the sort of person who likes to have a firm goal to work towards. Setting things aside gives me a clear goal.
3. I want to buy some gear on layaway. I only know of one music store that gives the option, but only for 60 days. I was really hoping to do it for 6 months (max). Does anyone know a store that would let me buy roughly £800 worth of gear over 6 months? I'd rather do it that way and pay it off before getting the stuff rather than taking out credit. Me no likey credit.
4. I'm selling this on behalf of a friend. It's a nice red Tanglewood Rebel 4k, comes with the soft case pictured. She's hoping for around £120. Prefer collection from Gloucester/Stroud area, but she can post for cost. Please get in touch with me if you're interested and I'll put you in touch with her. Thanks
5. I've sent some nominations over by email.
6. Hi I'm afraid I don't have much money, especially at this time of year, but I've donated a small amount. Sorry it's not more but... well it's something at least. M
7. I can't remember if I've replied to this or not, but I had an SR505M that weight 7.2lbs.
8. I have the same issue but just hold on the link and open in a new tab. Then it's fine.
9.
Nice to have some input in the way the forum is run..
I agree
10.
Hate to say it, but unless you pickup a Baer ML112 or a Thunderchild 112 you are going to struggle...a lot. Even with those it still won't throw that much volume.
Even a Barefaced Midget?
11.
Just the one..??? I'd be adding another as soon as. The benefit being you get the same sound but easier to carry.
Ideally I'd find a single sub-30lb 112 that I could gig without PA support. Don't even know if that's possible but that's the aim.
12. I'm going to watch this with interest I really would like to replace my 212 with a 112.
13. I've been very keen to try one of these. But can't risk parting with my leather strap just in case it's not for me! Silly eh?
14. I use Gravity Razer, 3mm. They aren't cheap, about £3 each, but each pick lasts me upwards of 4 or 5 months. I never lose picks (famous last words!)
15. I prefer the new classifieds section by far. However, it's a nuisance that some items are posted in there whilst others are still using the old forum. It's got to be one or the other IMHO. Adding a 36 hour bump button would only encourage people to get their friends to write useless replies to bump it up instead.
16. I'm looking for a side project to get my teeth into. Maybe just jamming around, maybe more. Gigs not essential but certainly could be persuaded. I currently play in a pub rock covers band which I love and would be my first commitment, but would like to get into something a bit heavier - anything from Maiden to Metallica, Diamond Head to Devil Driver... etc. Thrash, death, black, metal, 70's to now. No "core" or screamo though. Happy with covers, but also happy to start writing some stuff. Here's me, the good bits and bad (hey, at least I'm honest) I'm female, early 30's, bit scruffy looking but I don't smell . I'm a solid (read: can hold a groove, nowt fancy) bassist. Can't read music and don't know a massive amount of theory but learning slowly. I have decent enough gear, again nowt fancy but does the job great. Don't currently have my own transport but always willing to chip in for petrol if you're going my way. I want to join some people who a good chuckle and the odd pint, but strictly no drugs. I realise this looks like a joke advert, haha, but it's not! In the unlikely event that you're interested in meeting, give me a shout
17. MIA P strung with Elixirs in standard, and Squier CV P strung with Chromes 1/2 step down.
18.
There's more of them now, They're like rats! (No offence if anyone off here's watching it )
I'm watching it. But I also happen to be a big fan of rats, so there's no offence here.
