1. I doubt this is going to help, but I had one of their 212 combos and it started losing volume after one rehearsal. Sent it straight back and I doubt I'd ever buy anything else from GK.
2. I use iRig with Amplitube on my iPad for practice and love it. £20 for the iRig (maybe a bit over, can't remember), £11 for the "full" Amplitube, plus I spent £2 on a compressor and £10.50 on the 8 track recorder. Awesome app, bit expensive but worth it for me.
3. Here's my embarrasingly long list. I'm sure everyone knows which one I still have I'd like two more Precisions (one for D standard and drop C, and another to put flats on) and I think I'll be done. 4. Yeah, the duty and VAT is pretty hefty, but if you factor that into the price there are still some good deals to be had
5. I'm sure the rule is that these only get bumped every 36 hours...
6. I have little opinion on the aesthetics of the bass but check out that action! I wouldn't wanna play that bass without lowering the action by at least a foot!
7. My markbass ny 2x12 is lighter than two markbass ny 1x12's
8. I use elixirs mostly, and occasionally stick some Chromes on.
9.
Willing to do this for £895 shipped minus the hard case, she will come in a new Warwick Explorer Premium padded gig bag which fits the bass perfectly. Just an option.
Good grief! You couldn't separate her from the original case, surely????
10. Also, are you aware that you can bump your original thread instead of creating a new one?
11.
What rules have been broken? It has a price and description
I have to agree with this. Pics are a very good idea but it's not a rule to post them.
12.
I like crispy things
Sorry?! I don't get it.
13. May I ask, why would it matter if the outhouse is unheated? I think he stores all his gear there, PA speakers etc, and doesn't have a problem. I'm also not sure what he means exactly by outhouse (my parents refer to their utility room as the outhouse which is indoors). But, it may be a wiser idea to trade down to a cheaper cab, as I checked with my insurers and it's not covered when stored at his place.
14. Anywhere other than your home? Reason I ask this is because I have a lot of trouble carrying my cab up the stairs to my flat (2nd floor, no lift) and my singer has kindly offered to store my cab in his outhouse and bring it to practice and gigs. I trust him, I've known him for about 3 years and he's a thoroughly decent guy, but I guess I'm just nervous about having upwards of £500's worth of lovely Markbass cab stored somewhere where I can't see it. Any thoughts? Oh, I should mention that I never use the cab at home so I don't really need it to be stored at my house, so logistically it's much easier for me to take him up on his offer.
15. My preference would be the bright yellow, with a rosewood board and a black pg. No matching headstock.
16.
4 ohm or 8ohm?
Oops I forgot to add that bit, it's 4 ohm
17.
I love this, just stunning
Thank you
18. Value £375 firm, as I've reduced this from £550! (they are £707.56 at GAK at the moment, RRP £854), and this is a bargain for the amount of cab you get. I'm taking a massive hit on this but need a quick sale due to the sudden and potentially serious illness of a beloved pet. Sounds amazing, and lightweight (for guys!) at just under 50lbs, but it's too heavy for me and my top floor flat. It's a really great cab, tight and punchy, and I've never had a hint of a problem with it. It has a bit of bobbling on the carpet on one side (but no tears) and the plastic corner protectors are a little scuffed, both from previous owner/owners. But these are not visible on stage and hardly under normal light - you can only see it in the pics because of my insanely bright flash Cash sale only now. I'd prefer collection as I can't get any time off work at the moment to hang around for a courier.
19. Calling Spongebob... look where I am! Very nice bass dude.
