1.
I need help ... Being a very driven, focused and determined person I am no stranger to making decisions about seeing something I want and going out to get it. I've seen Precisely what I want but cannot justify it any way. This is making me want it even more! HELP!!!!!!
Would this be the clue by any chance?
  2.
D'you know what make it is Mel? Joe ps. like the psychoville reference on the sig.
I bought it as a Tribal Planet bag, but it doesn't have any brand name on it anywhere so I can't tell for sure. I love Psychoville. Best British TV show in a long time IMHO!
  3. Withdrawn for now - I've realised if I can trade my Fender I'll need something to carry the Squier around in. This is a great gig bag I got about 4 months ago but haven't used it much, and in an attempt to pay vet bills I have to shift it on. It's got around 2cm padding with neck support and extra pads inside. The sides are stiffened and there are 3 big pockets on the front that fit strings, books, cables, strap etc. Best gig bag I've used so far without a doubt. Looking for £35, prefer collection from Gloucester but can discuss postage.
  4. Freddie's the white one. Cheeky little monkey.
  5.
No, of course not! I just had an image fixed in my mind, is all.
Cool I thought you were about to join the "only a rat" brigade for a second! I really did adore my cuddly little chimp, and I miss him so much
  6.
I naively assumed that Freddie was a dog or a cat.
If someone loves a pet that much, it really doesn't matter what type of animal it is.
  7. You folks really are so kind and generous, but I really can't accept donations. I'm touched by your offers though, truly. For anyone who's curious, Freddie was my favourite pet rat - we formed a special bond as soon as I brought him home as a baby and he was my best friend for his whole life. He was affectionate, intelligent and extremely cute. He developed a brain tumour about a month ago and I spent a lot of time and money figuring out what was wrong and trying to treat him, but I was (obviously) not successful and made the difficult decision to have him put to sleep :'( the hardest thing I ever had to do but he took a turn for the worse in his last two days and I couldn't let him suffer. I now have to find another rat or two to live with his brother, who's very lonely now. Anyway, I know some people will think "he was only a rat" but I loved him more than I ever thought I could love a pet.
  8. In what way is it not in great shape?
  9.
Blimey! There must be more rattles than a skeletons disco!
Nope!
  10.
I did fix that for him! Im presuming he is suggesting that a neck that needs a shim is shot, which is nonsense anyway.
I saw that just after I posted, thanks Pete! Aye. When I got it the action was 2mm which isn't quite low enough for me and there was no room left in the saddle on the E. So I shimmed it. Sounds just as good now as it did before.
  11.
He likes low action, but dead necks dont seem to bother him
Who is "he"? And I know you're not a Fender fan, but shush! There are a more people on here who love Fenders than don't.
  12. Awww guys and girls, I'm stunned by your kindness, thank you so much - but I couldn't accept your money. My little Freddie was my baby and my responsibility. I miss him so much You folks really are wonderful people.
  13. Due to the death of a beloved pet, along with the vet bills (which of course don't disappear if the animal doesn't make it), I've had a massive wake up call, and realised that I'm a bassist who doesn't know theory and plays covers in pubs, and I don't need an MIA Fender to do that with. So I'd like to trade my 2011 MIA Fender Precision for a Squier Matt Freeman in vintage white plus the relevant amount of cash my way. Trade value £950 so I'd be looking for the Squier plus £650. Pics here. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/179045-wanna-show-off-my-pride-and-joy/ It is all stock except the pickguard (I replaced the tort one with a genuine Fender black one) and the strings which are Elixir Nanoweb. Comes with the Fender branded SKB hard case and the tags/leaftlets etc. I bought it brand new and haven't had it long. This is the model with graphite rods to strengthen the neck, and the 60th anniversary neck plate. Has been set up by myself for a ridiculously low action (thin shim in the neck which affects nothing except gives it incredible playability). 8.5 lbs. I'm gutted to be moving it on, but I've come to realise that some things are more important. I'm in Gloucester but can meet halfway within reason.
  14. I'm a fan of super low action at the 12th - My Fender is G 1.2mm, D 1.4mm, A 1.6mm and E 1.8mm. I had to shim the neck slightly to get it that low but it's worth it! .
  15. I've liked your page, would be grateful if you could return the favour http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blaze/108945349178695

Sold a strap to bassnut, no issues at all, highly recommended.
  17. Bargain. If I hadn't just had to cough up more money than I actually have for a vet bill, I'd be all over this.
  18.
I'll bet. Grumpy, condescending and unhelpful.
Have you ever been to Remus Sound on Barton Street? Awesome place, excellent service.
  19.
sideways bass
I love that.
  20.
Sounds like my local one
I wonder if that's the same one that I don't go to any more because they're so unhelpful?
  21. I feel like my brain is about to explode.... or perhaps it already has.
  22. Welcome! I hope your GAS is resolved fairly for the sake of your bank account
