Really great basses, tonnes of tone and (at least for me) very, very playable; that Ovangkol neck is sublime! If I had any money I'd definitely consider getting one of these again. Bump for a nice bass!

Thanks chuck. They are awesome basses, and the feel of the neck finish is awesome. Great jazz nut width too. Just a bit too chunky front to back for me and my tiny woman hands.
I bought Sean's fantastic Ibanez bass. Really nice guy, no fuss, no hassle, awesome transaction. He was even good enough to bring the bass to me so I didn't have to brave the buses Thanks man, very much appreciated.
Don't hesitate!

My back is completely knackered but I have not problems at all with my Spector Euro 5LX.
I'd certainly try one before dismissing it if I were you.

Interesting.
I'd be keen to try this one out. Planning on doing any travelling BUL66?

Hey Cosmo..im sure ive asked this before mate, but did you move that plum Euro 4 on??
He did - about a week before I scraped the cash together haha! I came back and it was gone
Bassulike66, could you perhaps magic a couple of lbs off this one? If it were under 8.5lbs I'd be on it like Sonic.

Lovely flame in that Redwood top.
What's your price...?
Looks like it only trades.
OP, and clues as to what you're after in a trade?
I'll play in any tuning as long as it doesn't have "drop" in front of it. I don't like farking with the intervals between my strings.
But mainly either E standard or B standard is my preferred.

Mine isn't any louder than my old passive bass was. And the change of batteries is pissing me off and I hate that I cant leave it plugged in. Is there such a thing as an active/passive bass? Such as, when the battery dies switch to passive and rock on?

Hi mate would a fender aerodyne be of interest at all. It's less than six months old and hasn't been gigged. I appreciate it's not a five string but is a great bass. I had a double buck a few years ago and stupidly traded it in and I've been sad ever since
Thank you for the offer, but it's not for me.

5 string under 8.5lbs?
Thats going to be hard.
Indeed. Although my old Ibby was 7.3lbs and I wish I hadn't let it go to be honest.

what is it with you and truss rods??
I genuinely don't know! I think I'm either just too scared to break them or I'm an epic weakling! Probably a bit of both.
The neck hasn't moved on this bass since I bought it in 2010 though.
