1.
Are you selling your $$?
Nah that will be buried with me I like the look of your bass so just umming and ahing as to whether I can afford it or not
2. www.gravitypicks.com I've been using the same one for over 6 months and there's no sign of any wear yet.
3. Mike bought my guitar rack. No problems at all, would happily deal with him again
4. I play in a loud rock band, medium sized bars and clubs. Current setup is Promethean P500H into a Markbass 210 cab (8ohm) Bass is sometimes a Warwick Corvette $$, and sometimes a Warwick Corvette Standard which isn't quite so audible. I need to be heard and to hear myself, and have headroom to spare. You'll notice that they're all lightweight - this is due to my physical limitations.
5. I love my Squier to bits. I've been trying to sell it for a while, but it looks and plays so good I just can't bring myself to part with it.
6.
I dunno, but great pic!
+1
7. This is a great bass. Low action, nice to play, sounds good, neck is dead straight, light weight, great balance, etc. Only reason I want to sell is because I can't get on with the lacquered finish on the neck. It's got a nice grain on the neck, and the pickguard has been spray painted matt black which is holding up much better than I thought and hasn't worn off at all. It's in good nick, only marks I can find is where the previous owner fitted a pickup cover - there are some scratches around the screw holes but they're barely noticeable. The pickup cover is included, and I'll include a hard case or a gig bag, whichever you prefer. I've fitted Jim Dunlop dual design strap buttons, which I'll leave on. Collection from Gloucester, or I can meet you at a train station if you pay my train fare up front (I don't wanna get stood up!)
8. Drummer needed to complete rock covers band, have been gigging for the past year but unfortunately our drummer had to leave us. Gig experience not necessary but a desire to gig is. We practice most Sunday evenings in Gloucester. PM me if you're interested or know anyone who is!
9. I have a hard case for sale. It's shaped for a Jazz but fits Precision nicely as well. I've also had Ibanez SR series and Spector in there, and they also fit nicely. Good condition, no wear or damage. I'm looking for £20 collected. Looks kind of like this one (similar shape, no white stitching!), and I'll get some photos of the actual case up asap.
10. I probably should have thought harder before posting a thread about my rack in a forum full of guys, shouldn't I? Hehe! Anyway, this one is sold pending payment - thanks for all the interest. In the unlikely event that it becomes available again, I'll let the person who sent the second PM know
11.
Excuse my ignorance, but how can I tell which ones are on my Corvettes? The two fretted ones seem identical. (Pictures of them are at the end of the Warwick thread.)
From what I can see, the necks on both of your fretted basses are Ovangkol. It's difficult to tell without seeing photos of the back of the neck though.
12.
So what's the profile of the neck on my German Streamer standard? Sorry, don't know much about differences between Warwicks! Ta
What year was it made? And what wood is the neck made of?
13. I bought Mike's purple chili 1x12. He shipped it promptly, packed it well, great communications Thanks!
14. Part of me thinks this is a long shot, and the other part thinks that you guys will think I'm insane for wanting to trade I have a Warwick Corvette standard with a very desirable slim Wenge neck. But I seem to be the only person in the world that prefers the chunkier Ovangkol necks. Anyone interested in a trade? I can trade neck only or whole bass, don't mind.
15. It is. I think it would be a bit of a squish to get acoustics in there though. I'd say it was just for electrics.
16.
disregard the maiden aunts banging on about the "language", i would like to think we're all adults here!
You would like to think so, but there are some younger bass players who are members here. And it's really not fair to them is it?
17. Sim bought my lovely fretless Precision. Great transaction, thoroughly nice bloke, couldn't ask for more thanks mate!
