I have too many basses, but don't know which to sell (if any)

Do you only have those four? And you're in a regular gigging band? I really wouldn't worry. -

Personally, I'd get rid of the non-reverse TB. The P or PJ sound can be too easily simulated with by the Warwick, and if it's hefty and cumbersome it wouldn't make me want to play it. Plus, I don't like the way they look. Eeek, don't flame, just my opinion. But if you're not liking the reverse neck, maybe you should sell that too? Sell two basses, buy one you really like! -
I made an innocent inquiry to if the owner of the bass would sell it as I dont have anything to trade, can I now not accept the deal the owner stated? At some point a cash price would have to be put on this bass, even by PM as if a trade where offered, both parties would have to agree on any adjustment either way? Sorry, I do not want to do anything against site rules, but again, it simply was an innocent inquiry about purchasing it.
Of course you can accept the deal. The only issue was (I think) that it seemed a little underhand to be discussing prices by PM when there wasn't a price listed publicly.
I've lost a button. Can we not delete our own posts anymore?
Yeah, I'm not happy about that. I like to delete my bumps in my for sale threads... don't like to leave a mess! I hope this feature comes back very soon (hint hint)

Spraying a bass - without removing the bits?
Evil Undead replied to Evil Undead's topic in General Discussion
I know. Andy showed me how, but I need to get a cheap soldering iron and something to practice on. I've done a couple of successful refinishes from a spray can. -

It may well be easier to get someone to help. I don't know anyone really besides Mr Andy R - who I know would help in a flash but I don't want to pester him -
Question: why can't you put them back in? Surely if you have the ability to desolder the pups you can also solder them back. My advice- if it's worth doing- do it properly
Eeeeee... I'm afraid I don't de-solder, I cut -

I mean just masking the pickups, knobs, and back covers. -
I'm thinking about giving my SR505 a fine mist of matte black. I will of course be removing the neck and bridge, but... Although I'm capable of removing the electronics, I'm not capable of putting them back in! Is it possible to mask these off carefully? The bass won't be drenched, just a couple of fine mist coats to just about cover the mahogany. Any thoughts?

It's with huge regret and reluctance that I have to sell my beautiful fretless Precision bass. The body is of unknown brand, but is great quality. It seems to be alder, but I can't guarantee. It's quite lightweight. The neck is a Fender licensed neck, unlined fretless, maple fingerboard. Stunning quality, finished in a nice gloss lacquer. It has a Wilkinson bridge upgrade, and the tuners are from an SX. Electronics are from a Squier I believe, and sound awesome. Strung with new D'addario chrome flatwound strings, and has that "mwah" that every fretless player strives for. Has cosmetic damage (a lot of dings and chips in the paint on the body, seen in photos) but I bought it like this and frankly, because of this! I love the roadworn vintage look on a Precision. I'm so sad to be selling this but needs must. I'm letting it go for a bargain - it cost me £420 for the parts to assemble it, and I'll put it up for £300 or best offer. Bass is collection from Gloucester. If you would like a hard case with it, I have a spare for £30 extra.
