2. Can't believe this is still here! Awesome price
3.
If you paid the £40 p&p cost you were ripped off. It only costs a tenner to send a Bass. In saying that the Bass looks great.
I agree that it only costs about a tenner to ship a bass, but if you want to have it shipped properly insured for £1500, you're looking at around £45. And I definitely recommend going down that route, it's worth it just to be compensated for loss or damage.
4. Nice bass dude! I'd offer a trade, but I think this would be too heavy for me
5. Thanks mate The only blessing for me is that I haven't had time to get properly attached to it.
6. I have to admit to not understanding what's funny
7. More photos added up top, and a couple of close ups of the damage. The flash makes it look a lot worse than it is.
8. I'm afraid I have no idea mate, sorry
9. I had a few trade offers the first couple of days. And an offer from a guy that I (correctly or otherwise) deemed to be a scammer... But nothing since then
10. Wow, I saw this yesterday and all were still available, today they're nearly all gone! Nice going buddy
11. My face almost fell off when I saw that finish! Stunning. Shame I can't make anything but horrible noises on a fretless
12.
If it's dc2009's old one you're talking about, then yes it is a beauty and the colour is perfect. Unfortunately it's not a Streamer, and besides i need to shift some gear before i do anything else!
It be me that's selling that one. And it really is a stunner, and plays beautifully. If you change your mind and fancy a Corvette, let me know
13. Lovely bass. I wonder how much it would cost to replace the gold hardware with black?
14. I've very recently purchased this bass from dc2009. As much as it's a amazing instrument, it's just not the right one for me. I suffer from back trouble (if anyone's interested, I have a curvature of the spine in both the lumbar and thoracic regions) and even though this is very light weight for a 5 string at 9.4 lbs, my back just can't cope with it. EDIT - I've now bought my sub-8.5lb Corvette 4 back from Flex, so this is for sale only now. I paid £1000 only a few weeks ago and I'm looking to make that back - willing to look at offers but can't afford to lose too much. Also now willing to consider a trade!!! This is an awesome quality instrument, and worth much, much more than this - it's got the brilliant $$ electronics package, amazing build quality, flamed maple top. As you can see in the pictures, it's absolutely beautiful. There is some cosmetic damage - some buckle rash, scratches and dings, but is a players bass and I believe dc gigged it pretty heavily for the 5 years he had it so that's to be expected. The photos definitely make the scratches look worse than they are, and none of them can be seen from a playing angle that I can tell - none of my band mates noticed any in a ridiculously bright rehearsal room I've just had the jack socket replaced professionally as it was starting to cut out slightly - purely a sign of having been used so much - but no trouble with it at all since this. The luthier also did a thorough set up on it at the same time and made sure all was well, which it is. Comes with the user kit including manual, tools, straplocks, and certificate signed by Hans Peter Wilfer. The Warwick website lists the price for this new as €2100 which is around £2050, so £1000 is a crazy bargain! Would much prefer collection, but if you commit to buying the bass I'm willing to bring it to you by train as long as my fare is covered. I will post fully insured - the actual cost of this is £45 but I'll only charge £20 - and I'll also throw in a free hard foam case. Viewing/testing is welcomed. Here is the actual bass itself on the Warwick custom shop page - http://warwick.de/modules/custom_shop/News...age=9&cl=EN
15.
Some do, it seems to be the age that's the main factor rather than the model though. Some 90s ones seem to be thicker than they are wide. I had a lovely thin necked thumb though so it doesn't apply to all Warwicks.
Both of the Corvettes that I have owned had chunky necks. 2006 and 2008. The Fortress (1994) was much slimmer. Heh!
16. Can't understand why this is still here. Lovely bass. If I could afford it and could justify having more than one bass, I'd be all over this! But that doesn't help you much
