1. I have been playing bass for almost exactly two years, and am having lots of fun with it! Playing covers in a band. I don't have much trouble learning the sort of covers we play in the band as they're very formulaic, mainly being verse, chorus, repeat a couple of times and add a bridge in somewhere. But for more complicated stuff I find it difficult if not impossible - mainly because I have ADD, and my attention span wanders either on to a different song, or somewhere else completely. I've been trying to learn Battery and The Four Horsemen (Metallica) for about a year now and although I can learn the main riffs easily enough, there are long crazy bits that are not repetitive (like the bit under the solo in Four Horsemen) and I just can't keep at it for long enough at a time to figure it out. Practicing and theory are even worse. I'm lucky if I can focus for long enough to remember to pick my bass up and play it, but there's no structure, I'm just banging out a few riffs. I've tried to add structure to my practice sessions before, but wandered away from that as well. And I have tried to learn theory, had lessons a couple of times, etc and... well you know where that's going. This is frustrating as hell! I feel like I could be fairly good if I could get stuck in but it just seems impossible sometimes. I'm sure it's not, I just need some guidance Anyone have any similar experiences, advice or suggestions?
2. Hello mate I'm afraid I need the cash much more than I need another bass, but thank you for the offer
3. I'm not very good (read: terrible) but I'd like to embarrass myself by joining in here http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=...95&comments
4. The most obvious solution to me would be to move the strap button to counter the dive - an inch or two towards your shoulder should do it.

Ello

Hello, welcome to the forum! It's always encouraging when another lady bassist joins and rescues me from all these noisy boys!! Nice bass by the way - except you're not helping my regret at putting mine up for sale
6. Jerry bought a pedal daisy chain from me. Very swift and easy transaction, thanks dude
7.
It was everything i'd dreamed of and more SO HAPPY! I was going to make my old white squire P bass into a rockin' bass but now it's defo being an Iron Maiden tribute bass!!
Glad you enjoyed it I'm still jealous!
8. You lucky sod I wanted to go, but can't afford it
9.
No. Never buy a mediocre bass because of its colour. OTOH, don't ignore a good bass because you don't like the colour. Just like a worn out shark, you can always get a re-fin.
This guy has a very good point
10. The headstock looks like a Warwick shape EDIT: Would ya look at that, it is a Warwick

Hello
Thanks mate! Yeah they certainly are good strings, and good value for money, I just haven't ever tried anything else so I might be overdue to experiment a little bit The last set I bought didn't last as long as usual which I thought was strange, ah well I might read some reviews on strings in this forum and see what people recommend. Nice one.
I keep thinking about trying flats, but I tried them once on a cheap fretless and hated them. But then it could have been because they were cheap and nasty strings. I play a Precision so I think it's the law for me to at least give flats another go

Hello

Hello! Welcome You hear a lot of mixed reviews about Rotosound. They're certainly not for everyone. Personally I love them, been using them since I started playing two years ago. And their customer service is awesome! Looking forward to seeing you about on the forum!
13. Hi Bill! Good to see you over here fella
14. Bump - make an offer, needs to go asap
15. If it were me, I probably wouldn't. But then, I don't like sage green, personally. Can you afford it and/or do you need a backup?
16.
Dont make em like they used to. Applies to most things. Standards tend to slip rather than get better.
This. I can't help with value though.
17.
Well, that's it, I've gone and sold it! Onto the next I s'pose! I'm quite tempted to go and give Evil Undead's $$ a rip..........
I definitely think you should do that! It's an exceptional bass.
18. I can't get my pictures to upload for some reason, but I'll keep trying. In the mean time, they look like the one in this picture (except there are four, of course ) http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS...amH_KOL&t=1
19. Welcome! And welcome to GAS as well. I've banned myself from the For Sale threads now!
20. I have an Affinity P, and the quality is actually very good, much better than I thought it would be. Playability is excellent, but not out of the box, I had to do a really good set up on it and put in a neck shim. Also put a hi-mass bridge on which is much nicer than the stock one. It's for sale at the moment as I need the cash PM If you're interested, it's only £80 . (shameful plug)
