1. I used to have one of these and it's great. GLWTS
2. Lovely bass but dude, that string spacing...
3.
Best ad ever. GLWTS.
Couldn't agree more.
4. My old band used to close with Buck Rogers, always went down a storm
5. Excuse me, but that looks the sh!t. I wish Sandberg made short scales (and that I had that much money!)
6. No effects for meeeee! I love how my bass and amp sound. I just EQ as necessary.
7. Welcome!
8. Thanks for the opinions and suggestions everyone! Really appreciate the responses. Ian hit the nail on the head, I don't learn well at all from books, Internet, even videos. I've tried and tried, but it doesn't sink in. The most I've ever learned musically is from having a one-to-one teacher. I know that learning to read the dots would be a handy skill to have but I really can't see when I'd use it. I've really struggled with it in the past (had piano and violin lessons, still can't read a note) but would be willing to give it a whirl if necessary. As Pete says, I just wanna be able to jam and look like I've got a musical superpower haha!
9. I think so too really need to find a teacher that will help me along that path
10. If it helps explain what I'm after... I'd love to be able to listen to a song, identify the key and know what chords apply and what notes would fit.
11. I'm thinking about having some lessons this year. I really would like to improve my playing, theory (chords, scales, modes, intervals etc) and mainly just be able to play along with anything that comes up on the radio and be in tune. Ha! I don't really feel the need to learn to read (have always struggled with that and can't see why I'd need it, I'm a bedroom player mainly), but have been told that it's the easiest way to learn to just jam along with stuff like I want to. I'm not dismissing that but finding it hard to understand why it's the case. Is it true? If so, why? If not, why not?
12.
I didn't think it could, and that's the point of the thread ?
www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo-trading-market/general-trade-talk/487839-beware-of-paypal-gift-chargeback.html
13. Also (hope I'm allowed to add here), be wary of receiving payment by PayPal gift as it can very easily be reversed by the sender once the item is shipped/received.
14. No problems here! Deal with confidence

16.
My new Guild Starfire. It is both Guild-mungus and short-tastic!
Nice. Is that a darkstar?
17. Macassar!
18. How are you getting on with the mustang, gsgbass?
19.
Haha, I was more with you before you edited, when you said the 64 should go! I reckon that'll change daily though? This morning I was thinking 'sell the 64 and buy the Lull (if I like it) keep the 55' then I duley remembered that I need to be letting one go. Doh. So no love for Modulus then? The boyhood Chili's fan wouldn't let me get away with that, I love using that bass when jamming to their records. A fender it must be....
Ha! Yes, I'm easily confused. This is all my personal opinion but I love white basses and much prefer the tone and aesthetics of 60's P basses over the 50's ones. It's not that I don't like modulus basses, they're great, but just not my cup of tea. I could do everything I needed to do on a nice fender jazz
20. If they were mine, the modulus would be out the door. But since that's not an option, I think the 55 is the one that needs to go, from what you've said. Sorry to hear that one has to go though, hope you can avoid selling one. EDIT Because I got confused. Haha. Also, if you're considering the Mike Lull, make sure you play it first. Sounds obvious, but it's amazing how many don't!
21.
VENDO FODERA YIN YANG DELUXE Victor Wooten ..TRADE CON FENDER JAZZ + SOLDI !!
Pardon?
22. Awesome suggestions, thanks everyone. I tried the new battery suggestion, went and picked up a nice Duracell from Tesco and gave it a whirl. Although the display is now incredibly bright, the issues are still present. It just can't seem to decide if I'm in tune or not! And thinks a B string on my electro acoustic guitar is an E. Can definitely see a new tuner in my sights at Xmas, but to decide which one... ooof!
23. The pitchblack is in the running then
24.
You could get a multi effects unit with a built in chromatic tuner, like the Zoom B1on (cheap, about £38) or say a Zoom B3 (dearer at about £107).
It's a nice idea. Having some effects to mess about with might be fun, but I think I'd get very confused with the zooms. Does the boss ME50b have a decent tuner I wonder? Hmmm On thinking about it, nah... I'm just not an effects girl.
