Thanks Grangor. This is the link I found endorsing the use of Lemon Pledge for Nitro Celluose finishes http://www.cbguitars/finish_care.htm I do not spray direct onto the wood but you seem to say do use at all. Does seem to work for me and has reduced the cloudiness but I will explore beeswax and see how that measures up.

I know an old thread but I would just like to endorse Pledge Wood Polish Lavender. I bought a Gibson T'Bird in July and was getting fed up with being unable to get rid of the cloudiness, in certain light, caused by my right hand on the body using known brand guitar polish. 'Googling' this issue, and refusing to pay £20 for 50ml of supposedly specialist guitar polish, I came across a tip to use Pledge Wood Furniture Polish (not All Purpose) I bought a 300ml can for about £3 for Asda and now after about 3 months I can report it works! Lovely polish and smells nice to boot! Important to spray on cloth and not the guitar though. Also buy large all cotton muslin squares for cleaning. I bought a 55cm x 55cm in pink (to match inside of my guitar case) for £3.75 inc postage off e-bay. Excellent for wiping down strings or general polishing.

Is this a genuine Geddy Lee bass with a replacement neck? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4d00ff7942 Why do I ask? Because this ebayer sold two 'modified' basses in April: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330722777746 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330707335921 and if you check the feedback as a buyer this ebayer bought 3 starcaster basses, all black, over the past few months and sells a lot of necks. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280860133354 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360442641287 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200709792318 Hmm very interesting but how can you tell?

Peavey Millennium AC BXP in maroon/purple. (I think it is black velvet) Active guitar pickups light weight guitar and with narrow and fast neck. Slight fault with this guitar, which I was aware of when I bought it direct from Peavey in Corby, as preamp drains batteries quicker than it should do. However never a problem as I will include 2 rechargeable PP9s and battery charger I use. Each charge lasts about 20/30 hours of playing. Very slight ding on front and scratches on back edge that cannot be seen by anyone when playing it. Otherwise overall good condition and looks and feels stunning. Only selling to clear room for a jazz bass & I prefer the vintage sound of a passive bass. Looking to fund a Fender Jazz Bass. RRP £299 so looking for £100 or straight trade for Squier Jazz (preferably not affinity) plus cash up if appropriate for CV/VM, MIM or USA. May be interested in other guitars such Epiphone EB-3? More photos available on request. Collect only but centrally located near Loughborough and prepered to travel a bit if helps.

I have a TE Commando 15 that sees no use now as I bought a Marshall 2 x 10 combo last year which I now prefer. The Commando is a a nice combo suitable for small gigs, but not too big for practicing. At 100 watts, big enough to fill a small hall, but only 27kg, so not too heavy. The single 15" speaker gives great sound quality set to passive or active (the amp has an input for either). Also has a line out and a send and receive for an effects loop. I am the third owner, bought in 2008, and a date inside seems to suggest it was manufactured in 2000. Good sound and condition. Looking for around £100 or may be trade for interesting bass amp head - collect only I am afraid

Thanks for everyones input - must admit did not spot the truss rod adjustment at both ends. Cheers

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110869331004?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 This is a lovely looking bass but is it genuine? The serial number I think dates it around 2009 but it looks like a Squier VM '77 Model. Did they produce these in Mexico or is it a Fender neck on a Squier body? Why are the pick ups covered - replaced? I guess unless you see it and play it you will never be satisfied before bidding.
