1. Does it have noisy fans ?
 2.
hope this works photos of my sei.
Very nice ! I used to have a headless Sei, it was my 1st 6 string. Let me have a think and I'll get back to you. I have had quite a few offers of some really nice cool basses.
 3.
This is one of my favourite basses ever. I also prefer narrower spacing but I think I could make an exception here!
The string spacing is adjustable. I have it set at 17mm like my Modulus.
 4. Bed time bump .
 5. I'm fairly new to effects, other than reverb and chorus that I've been using for years. It sounds to me like a keyboard bass, but I may be wrong there.
 6. Bump - trade for Wals (4 or 5 string), fretless 4 string Zons and other 6 string basses. What have you got ?
 7.
6stringbassist?
No, I was very tempted though, and I had the cash too.
 8.
what about 300 cash plus my sei!!! bump again.
Photos ?
 9. I've had a lot of interest in this. A few people have enquired about a straight cash sale rather than a trade. If I were to sell it I'd like as close to £2000 as possible. I know that's a lot of money, especially with the current recession and with Christmas just around the corner, but this bass is worth every penny. New you'd be looking at around £3500.
 10. I bought my Wechter acoustic bass from this guy last year, and I believe that Lozbass bought his Alembic from him too. He's a really nice guy to deal with.
 11. Some nice cables for sale here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=69774
 12.
Hi looking for some new strings for my 6 anybody got any recomendations?
All strings sound different on different instruments, you need to experiment to find the ones that work for you. Unfortunately that can be quite an expensive business . Status 'Hotwires' are a pretty good, and reasonably priced stainless steel string. I like DR Lo-Rider nickels.
 13.
Just wow!!! Absolutely beautiful - useless to me (and I have nothing to trade), but lovely to see some images of one of the most jaw-dropping basses on the planet
Yeah, I totally agree absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately she has a rival for my affections . I just bought a Zon that I'm blown away by, the tighter string spacing of 16.5mm makes it a totally different instrument to play, this is a bit wider at about 18mm. But besides that I just fancy a change, and this is way too nice to be just sat on a stand. Who knows, tomorrow I may decide to just keep her.
 14. I fancy something different. I've had this for about 2 years, it has done more gigs than I can count, at least 100 this year, but it is in mint condition. It comes with a custom built flightcase that's nuclear blast proof. Features include a Walnut body core, Buckeye burl facings with matching headstock, 7 piece flame maple and wenge neck and an ebony fretboard. 34" scale, 24 frets, blue side LED's, Bartolini P4 pickups and has an Audere preamp. Trades welcomed, the basses that I'm really interested in are as follows Status, Zon, Sei, Modulus, Alembic. Must have at least 6 strings though unless it's a Wal or a fretless Zon ! I'd love a Wal 4 or 5 string, a Zon fretless would be cool. Fretted or fretless. The new price for this would be at least £3500. For a straight cash sale I'd want as close to £2200 as possible.
 15.
Il take the Marcus book. Is the Jaco a DVD? I'll take if it is... Cheers! Matt
It is a DVD. I only recently bought it. I used to have the video version, and hadn't watched it for ages (about 20 years), but actually find it quite sad to watch.

 17. 3Oth aniversary eh, I wonder if they'll get the original band back together for that.
 18.
Just for the record, I had a fairly lengthy exchange of PMs with Brian and experienced no problems at all communication-wise.
Must just have been me he couldn't be a***d to reply to then .
 19.
Hi Bri, Have you found your "Tony Levin" yet? I'm a baldie bass player and an admirer of the great man, and I live in Birkenhead (someone has to) but whether I could fill those particular shoes ....... Be nice to think I could, though, just a five string and three string Stingray and an EUB short of the equipment tally (not to mention the "Funk Fingers"!) unfortunately! Geoff
I PM'ed the guy twice about this advert and didn't get a single reply.
 20. I've had one for a few months now. I was having shoulder problems with my Sei, but since I've had one of these I've not had a problem. I usually play for 5 or so hours a day too. They're far superior to the Comfort strapps.
 21. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I would never buy a bass from anywhere that I wasn't able to see and try first. I bought my Jaydee from a guy on here, I drove all the way from Birmingham to Kilmarnock to collect it. He was a really cool guy and the bass was as he descibed it, but I didn't know that until I'd met him, and seen the bass.
 22.
This bass is sold!
I wonder who bought it
 23.
is this still for sale? I'm interested
Sorry, it was collected today.
