It weighs 10lbs. Pictures will have to wait until I get it back from John Diggins workshop. That'll be next Wednesday or Thursday hopefully. Here's a link to the previous 'for sale' advert. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=stingray It'll have a new 'Black pearl' pickguard fitted to it, which looks hundreds of times better than the black one shown in these photos.
I seriously considering it. I'm just trying to think about whether it will compliment my Aguilar DB112 as a neat, small but powerfull rig?
I think it would go well. The DB112 has a bit of a mid hump, if I'm not mistaken. Whereas the EBS neo110 is quite mid shy. Ken Jung over on Talkbass would be the person to ask. -

I just got this a week or so ago, but I'm not 100% sure about it. And there's something else that I'd much rather have instead. The bass is currently with John Diggins being set up, I get it back sometime next week. He's also fitting a new black pearl pickguard to it. It's 8 years old, and in really nice condition. No marks on the body or neck, and comes with a Musicman hardcase. I'd like £700 for it which is what I paid. Collection is welcome or I can meet somewhere convenient. Postage is also possible, at the buyers expense. The photo is the only one that I've got. It was taken by the last owner and shows the old black pickguard fitted, it looks much, much nicer with the new one though.
Don't wanna state the obvious - but you've noticed it doesn't come with a body?!
Yes, I want one with a sunburst finish.

I'd like a Jazz bass. I noticed this on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT How do you tell if it's genuine ?

What annoys me most about bassist wanted adverts, is when people can't be bothered to reply to your enquiry to their advert. Twice on this site I've replied to adverts. Once to someone who wanted a dep bassist for some gigs. And the other week I PM'ed a guy twice about an advert, and didn't get a single reply from him. Bet he wouldn't have done that if I'd been the real Tony Levin I've been playing since I was 12, that's 25 years now, and I've spent the last 10 years playing pro/semi pro. I studied at college for 3 years. I can sight read. I've done hundreds of gigs and loads of studio work and theatre pit work. I have great gear, and transport. I'm reliable and honest. And I can play pretty much any style of music to a very high standard. So why can't people be bothered to reply to me when I answer their adverts ?

Onboard electronics? Any other non-believers here?

I've been using my Sei bass 'passive' for the last couple of months. The two pickups are wired direct to the jack socket. It was originally fitted with a John East preamp and then an ACG preamp. I quite liked the original East preamp, but didn't particularly like the ACG. It had no bypass and there was no flat position. Any tone changes are made at the amp. I use an EBS HD350 and basically just use the 'pre shape' and a slight bit of bass boost. It sounds perfect to me. I've done a few sessions in the last couple of weeks with it. And the engineer has been able to get a perfect sound for the track with the minimum of fuss every time. The engineer yesterday was a bit surprised when I explained to him how it was wired. It's quite amazing really how versatile the bass is. I just use a different 'attack' or approach to get a different sound. In the past I was constantly fiddling with the preamp knobs on gigs, changing the sound to how I thought it should be. I now realize that it was really totally unnecessary. The bass sounds perfect on its own. I may invest in a volume pedal though. And I'm going to order some wooden knobs, and fit them to cover up the holes in the front of the bass. -
eBay Negative Feedback Suspiciously Removed?
6stringbassist replied to benebass's topic in General Discussion
I really would never ever trust ANYONE on ebay. If I buy something I always travel and collect the item. And I prefer people to collect anything from me that I sell. Ebay/Paypal now hold onto the funds from a sale for up to 21 days, even if the buyer gives positive feedback.
