I want some nice wooden knobs for my bass. I fancy some walnut ones. Anyone know where to order some from, hopefully in the UK.
While there's no doubting the band had talent, on a more personal level, Level 42 represented everything that was bad musically about the 80s. It was a really terrible, terrible time if you were a fan of good old guitar based rock or punk. And remember punk was only a few years old. I remember one bloke saying to me [at the time] that they were just easy listening rock for stock market traders. Slappidity dappitdy slappidity. Yawn. Twenty plus years on, the opening bars of any Level 42 track will still have me reaching for the remote control or changing the radio station. Sorry! P
HERESY !!!!

Fantastic ! Wednesday was the 25th aniversary of me seeing them at the Odeon New street in Birmingham. Sunday 11th November 1984, I was 12 years old and totally blown away by Mr King and co.
With all that fiddling with the D-tuner wouldn't he be better off with a five string?
No, the changing of tuning throughout is an important part of the song. Threads like this are a waste of time on this site. There are way too many four string plodders on here who instantly dismiss out of hand anything different to the norm. I saw him play 'My three moons' recently. Live it's amazing to see.

I'd like a neo 4x10. I've got a proline 4x10 and it weighs a ton. Luckily most of my gigs are either with full PA support. or small enough to just use my 'mini stack' a neo 1x12 and a 1x10.

Hi Lee That's what I'm going to get. They look really good.
Hi Kev two weeks ago i might have had this from you, however ive just bought an IGIG G15 in tweed and it is abslutely fantastic, probably as tough as the mono but has lots of storage ( i can now sack off the holdall for leads, strings, pedals etc) and is just all round a very classy looking bag, ill try to get some pics up later, on my gig bag thread
I know everyone's circunstances are different. But I really wouldn't waste my money on cheap strings. What's the old saying - buy cheap and pay twice ? I use DR's and they last for months and months, the set I have on at the moment is about 4 months old but sounds as bright as when I put them on. I'd rather pay a little more for something that lasts that long rather than keep buying them every month or so, it's cheaper in the end (in my book anyway).

MPX1 2in 2out Multi Effects Processor The MPX 1 Multi-Effects Processor fulfills the promise implied by the term "multi-effects." Line 6 M13 - effects and a 28 second looper

The looper is crap on this. I took it back to the shop and traded it for something else. The DL4 is better. -

Nice collection of basses Lee. and I bet the rig sounds really cool. I was thinking earlier that I'd like to try a Stingray with a maple board, yours look great.
