1.
Mr Geddy is the man
+ 10 million. In some respect I have Geddy bass. I had a Marcus sig bass but after some endeavour couldn't get on with the active pups. I sold the body and put the neck on a 75 RI Jap body. I also installed some meaty wizzard pups. I have had no neck issues and it's been over 12 months. I think the necks are more or less the same except the Marcus is a 3 bolt.
2. still do .. get coat ...
3. I have always used the term "caggy handed" perhaps this is a Black Country derrivative of cack handed? +1 for spaker.
4. Very, very, very nice.
5. I like where this is going. Great bass.

Hello!

Alright mate! My great grandfather and his brothers spent a lot of time in Belgium during 1915. A couple of them are still there. Like your tone.
7. I'd love 10 minutes with her, although would probably struggle to find something to do for the last 7 minutes.
8.
Just checked this to be sure. The Markbass Sa450 owners manual gives guidance on the characteristics and use of frequencies of the low, low - mid, upper mid etc Helped my understanding by more than a tad !! T
Yes will have to dig it out and a general mess about. Always pleased with this amp though, a real Rolls Royce of an amp.
9. I have my markbass SA450 flat. You can hear everything. Might give the mids a whirl though as ther are the extra ones? I wonder what they would do?
10. I'd put money on her having an inexplicably orange face to boot.
11. Too many lovely basses on here.
12. Does anybody else think that the Leon Quan badass II sounds like a wok?
13. I modded a jazz with a nice chunky gotoh bridge. I have had a badass on a Marcus Jazz and the gotoh was just as good but 1/3 of the price.
14.
I'd now that stage anywhere.... The Robin2 in Bilston?!?
10 out of 10. We headline there once a year and occasionaly support a named artist, The Blockheads usually. It is our Wembley Stadium. Most weeks we are scrunched up in the corner of a pub. It's all good times though!!!
15.
Was Craig David on the same bill that night?
Great picture mate, I have saved it and will treasure it always. Nice one.
16. Somebody told me I looked angry when I played last week? Perhaps I will appear constipated at tomorrows gig?
17. I'm not a miserable git as pictured.
18. These are superb!!! I've got one with maple block neck. Great weight and players. Jap stuff is excellent IMO.
19.
+++ a pair of Bergies is a great way to go, fantastic depth of sound and easy to lug around. I use mine with an LMIII and it's a no hassle great sounding rig. Not cheap but the best gear investment I ever made
ditto, beat me to it.
20.
Don't dismiss 12" cabs. I use a pair of Bergantino 1x12's and they are great as well as portable - huge sound
Yes! I also made the plunge and got a MarkBass SA450 amp to go with the bergs. Cost a few £ but I have everything I need for every occasion. Loads of power and the tone of my Jazzes cut through loud and clear at all frequencies. The lightweight of the bergs is also a big +. I also used Ashdown Mag 300 and 4x10 ashdown cab for years which was great in a covers band. I just wanted a little less wool and more true output as most gigs the bass is not through the PA.
21. I'm a jazz man but this has really turned my head. I love the colour and I love maple necks. I hope this sells soon to stop me looking and gassing!
22. A young chap called Geddy Lee plays one, so I have heard.
23.
Very smooth on the fingers Fudge, not for everybody. Not sure I would go for them with your kind of playing/set list.
How would the world of PowerBelly sound on them?
24. Never used flatwounds but Im interested. Any difference in the feel, apart from the guage differences. Would I use them in my rock/pop covers band?
