1. I have GK stuff and find it brilliant. I have the 700RB head which I play through a 2x10 and 1x15 cab. At my last gig, I just took the 1x15" cab with me and had no problems at all. I had a 400RB-IV before that I really liked but I found that it couldn't keep up when played through just the 2x10. Sometimes, I consider selling the lot and getting something else, but I come to my senses.
2. What a corker of a bass! And another yes please for the new build diary!
3. Thanks for the pics, kind folks. May I point out that the op said Elvis Costello?
4. I recently completed a trade with mcnach for John East knobs. All went well and he is a great bloke to boot. Thanks, Jose!
5. Lee is a top bloke - like everyone else here, I had a smooth and pleasant transaction. Thanks, Lee!
6.
You will sleep like a baby .
Waking up every 40 mins and having no control over bodily functions?
7. What a stonking deal! If I didn't already use these in two of my basses, I'd snap this up!
8. Played an outdoor gig at a market in a tiny village. The stage was so small that we had to put the microphones on the ground. Here is what I noticed:

Playing outside is a lot colder than playing inside.
When the music is an extra (unlike playing a proper gig), people really do not watch
Setting up was hilarious. We show up in no few than three cars, one with a trailer. There is a an old lady under a marquee singing songs accompanied by an even older man playing accordion. We then unload an enormous amount of stuff; our drummer does a lot of PA stuff on the side has a lot of PA gear and seemingly brought enough to play Knebworth. I was not on my best form, though, and fluffed it a few times, including a couple of howlers (played a section in E instead of A, was distracted by the organiser and forgot how to play a part of a song). It also rained for a good part. In our second set, most people had gone and we were playing to the organisers, a few stallholders and our significant others. We were well received, though, and have been provisionally invited back next year. We got paid too. The gig was arranged months back and the fee was 75% of our unofficial minimum, so I had waived my pay so the other three would get theirs, as this small village is where I live. Annoyingly, we have moved 250km away now and I spent more than what I would have been paid in petrol driving there and back!
9. Ah...yes, but no pictures. There was a slight problem with the paint, so Dave wanted to strip it all back to the wood and do it all again. Who am I to stand in the way of perfection? Things should be ready in a few weeks from now. Dave feels awful that this has taken so long, but, in actuality, it has not. Allow me to break it all down: 02/13: Initial contact, discussion 03/13: Sent off old neck to be cloned (mid March) 04/13: Project expanded to include body 05/13: Neck complete, finishing started, body almost completed 06/13: Body completed (early June), neck finishing almost done 07/13: Neck ready, about to be posted when project expanded to include finishing body 08/13: Finishing almost completed, but Dave unhappy with the quality So, all in all, it has taken ages but due to the fact that I have expanded upon the original project the whole time!

Is it me or is that bass one of the sexiest things ever?
11. I don't really know why I'm looking...I couldn't pick it up from you, even if I had the funds...but what a spectacular guitar! I had an SG a while back. I think they have the best neck pickup sound of any guitar. The bridge isn't too shabby either.
12. Nice work there. It looks as good as new. And yes, minor gas for Mesa cab...
13. Oooh, that's proper nice, that is.
14.
Somewhat official looking pics obtained from an eBay seller who is offering them for pre-sale: Really quite liking that cherry burst Starcaster, but there's something about that Coronado too. Can't wait for them to appear in shops, definitely will give them a bash.
There's definitely something about that Coronado. Oh Fender, tell me it will be available in a 5 string...
15. That's very tasty indeed. I understand the love at first sight...
16. What is up with the expression pedal? I might be interested in this.
17. That's very kind of you, lee650! Thanks! I'll PM you and mcnach and see if we can arrange something. Again, thanks!
