7. I just purchased an ashdown 2x10 cab from Dan, top bloke and he delivered it to my door, thanks again Dan.
 8.
I played a bar gig on Saturday and used my usual setup: Aguilar DB680 preamp through a power amp into an Aguilar DB410 cab. Bass was my white Jazz, although I often use my 1974 Jazz Bass too. 11. Our guitarist has one (6 string) he swears by it , he'll pick it up over his telecaster, he tunes it after almost every song, it cuts in and out feeds back a lot and in mine and singists opinion sounds pony. Oops this is a bass forum innit.

 15.
I do this, it's good for the Chalfonts - helps to ease 'em back up a bit. They can distracting at times.
tell ya what is good for the chalfonts, sitting on a a cold damp breeze block whilst eating your lunch , i should know
 16.
Same here. But I'm not in the least bit bothered about box-ticking or target-achieving - nor do I have 'goals' or ever think about where I'm going to be in five years' time or any of that piddling crap. I'm not in competition with anyone - in my opinion music is art and therefore entirely subjective. You only have to read a couple of random threads on this forum to understand that one man's Mark King is another man's, er... Adam Clayton, or something. I enjoy bass playing far too much to be worried about how 'well' I'm doing, or if someone else is 'better' than me at it. Feck 'em!
i couldn't a wrote that better meself.
 17.
He offered to take stuff down, came back to say goodbye and made a quick getaway. I'm down in East Kent, but it's a warning to others so you dont fall for this below the belt thievery. My SM58 was a week old too! I will report it, and found him on joinmy band so maybe I can track him down, still cant prove it though. Rich
thats a filthy f***ing thing to do, I'm in SE Kent , give me his phone number.
 18.
Under-rated bass players in humungous bands and who rarely get mentioned on BC possibly because they're a bit unfashionable or because they eschew fretboard acrobatics, preferring instead to 'play for the song': Mike Rutherford Bill Wyman Noel Redding John McVie Dusty Hill Garry Tallent (E Street Band) Joe Bouchard (BOC) Tina Weymouth Colin Greenwood Under-rated, older British bass players of whom we rarely speak: Tony Levin Sparko (Feelgoods) Johnny Spence (Pirates, Johnny Kidd) Gerry McAvoy (Gallagher / NBZ) Henry Cluney (SLF) Tony Goggle (Wayne Fontana, Mungo Jerry, Foghat, Yngve Malmsteen, Quartet of Doom) Ronnie Lane (Faces) John Wetton (Family, Crimson, Roxy, Heep, Wishbone Ash) Johnny Gustafson (Big Three, Roxy) Barry Adamson (Magazine, Visage, The Birthday Party, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) Jah Wobble And Rocco Prestia.
Henry Cluney was Stiff litte Fingers rhythm guitarist, Ali Mc Mordie was(still is) the mighty bass man
