11.
Basically at the moment on my other fiver, Lakland DJ5 I got exactly the same set of strings with the same gauge, Dunlop Super Bright Steels (got them on buy one get one free deal ) and I must say that when I play on Lakland you can't really notice it as much and I can still hear what I play. I am using whatever is in the Live room at the given time, mostly Markbass head with 4x10 Markbass cab, but in the other room I played on some Ashdown stack where I couldn't hear anything at all!
i had the exact same problem as you, I also use markbass, i did ask the good chaps on here about it and the advice i got was turn the VL filters right off (fully anti clockwise) and up the lower mids, i ca now hear every note/string that i play.. Thank you basschat.
 12.
Oooh that would have stopped me buying it if it was sold as "new". Strings are part of the bass and if they're not new it's not worth full price! To be fair though most shops aren't bothered about strings but you'd think whacking a £15 set of strings on a bass you're paying £1500 for would be pretty standard practice? I have to say though, my phone calls and online orders from them have always been problem free!
yea, fantastic over the phone, i think that's one reason i use them.
 13. I've dealt with them before on numerous occasions, Markbass amp, 2 fender p basses and a mm stingray, no probs at all, although when i went to pick the mm up i asked the manager if he'd throw a set of strings in on the deal and he said no ??
 14. What amp set up are you using?

 18.
Mids, mids, mids. No mids? No hear.
and more mids, i have the low mid on my markbass head cranked right up, And both VL filters off (fully anti clockwise)
 19.
Just beware, you pay 45% on top of what you bid and none of the stuff is guaranteed to be serviceable/ working/ have a straight neck or blown speakers or work in any way shape or form . You bid, your card gets charged, if it does not work, it is an auction and you have no consumer rights, all is sold as seen with all faults and imperfections. You can almost guarantee anything worth having will have been rifled long before the rest got sent to auction.
cheers for that Spacey I'm steering clear.
