You need to plug the holes (drill out and glue in a dowel with wood glue/PVA) then pilot and screw in the correct position.
exactly this -
New album= brilliant

We used to hire one every year rather than buy one, not a clue what wattage it was or how much fluid it used but it sure kicked out a blizzard

I went to see them play at the bridewell in Dartford and the PA hadn't turned up, they were just about to call it a day until i offered them my PA which they used, so yep i did save the day.
Wouldn't GAK be closer than Andertons? They seem to indicate they have some in stock, although might be worth ringing them in advance just in case they have to bring them over from the warehouse.
Brightons a bit of a trot, i think i'll order one anyway, can always send it back as someone suggested on here
I've wanted an early 70's Jazz for a while, I'd long-term borrowed my mate's '71, still one of my all time favourite bass guitars hands down, but it didn't feel like 'mine', so I jumped on this one when I saw it for sale. It's a four-bolt, with the pots dating early '74 (7405) and the neck plate indicating the same year of manufacture. It came strung with flats, I love the sound and I like doing the best impression of Joe Osborn I can with a pick, but I figured that a nice fresh set of D'Addarios would work better for me. Taken me about an hour to sort out the setup but this thing sounds fat! Solid, growling jazz bass tones. The pic doesn't really do the colour much justice, it's actually a darker more chocolate style burst that I've not seen much of in Fenders of this age. Bloody made up I am! Here's a quick pic
..... Wonderful....

Hi all, Anyone tried the Gibson Sg bass? I love the look of them, i would prefer to try one before buying but the nearest stockist is bloody miles from me (Andertons Guildford).. So don't fancy the long drive without knowing what they're like. Thanks in advance.
Thats great Stages, now thats a topic on its own. Reminds me of a club in Egham we did some years ago. Turned up and a whole lorry load of the weeks drinks delivery was on the stage. Even though it was not our job to move it, we would never have been set up in time if we left it to the steward.
Eggham social club? We had that there as well. -
Don't take this the wrong way but it sounds to me like you're not really committed to this project. As such you feel its a little cheeky to ask for funding because it's only starting. I think you are right. The artist should stump the money. You guys are promoting and supporting him. If he makes it believe me all you guys are dumped for pro musicians. I'd tell them to poke it.
me too!!!

Yup.. Mr Kite, fantastic, also see the wings documentary, whatever happened to Denny Laine?
He's just about finished a very short tour with the Mississippi Mudbloods and this was taken at The Flowerpot in Derby last Friday night. On a couple of songs Ian swops vocal and guitar duties with Lightning Malcom, who is playing bass for most of the set. For those of you who are Siegal fans, the show was absolutely storming. Even by his standards.
lovely looking bass
