1. You'd be forever moving the controls with your arm i reckon. Us poor lefties eh!. Other than that its a matter of turning the nut round and reversing bridge saddles, oh yea and theres the strap button on the horn.
 2. Leave the new bass as it is and spend it all on beer
 3. Boootiful !!! If only i were right handed.
 4. Cheap n cheerful yamaha bb404, plays like a dream but a bit thin sounding, also light as a feather... So why is it stored in the loft?
 5.
My band supported Dumpy at the Marquee a couple of times at the end of the 80's.
what were you called mate?
 6.
It's. A. Reissue. Of. An. Oddball. Bass. Which. Was. A. Commercial. Failure. When. It. Was. First. Released. Due. To. Its. Unflattering. Looks. And. Muddy. Boxy. Sound.
thank. You. Mate.
 7. The solo in rush's Freewill.. Can see me giving up.
 8.
Decent gig, wedding so you never quite know how it's going to go but they were a good crowd and plenty on the dance floor all night. Groom spotted me heading for the changing room after the gig and specifically thanked us for putting on a good show, said everyone really liked it. Only downer was the mic lead provided by band leader had died and since I only bring one with me I couldn't set up my little Boehringer monitor. Judging by sniffy comment from band leader when I told him I couldnt monitor myself it's quite clear he has a real thing about monitoring full stop which i find quite bizarre, so I've withdrawn from providing bvox for the band. If he prefers to get someone else in it's fine by me I'm just not going to be unnecessarily compromised over something which amounts to an unreasonable phobia on his part.
good for you man
 9.
Active: Warwick Steamer Chrome Tone. Passive: Possibly my Ric 4003 FG...
face like.... A bass player

 11.
There's an isolated bass and drums (with a little bonus vocal and bass synth bleed) here for those that want a really good listen to Geddy's tone on Digital Man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28gcZQiQvds
fantastic , cheers
 12. Hi Chris What trades would you consider?
 13.
Yes, I heard. But the space is needed and I can't remember the last time I played a record. At least a year ago. Spotify covers a lot of it so it needs to go.
mate of mine is a collector and would buy them from you if you're anywhere near kent?
 14. Jean Jacques Burnel
 15.
I have always played a Fender Precision. I have never had the inclination to play with anything else. The P Bass does everything I want it to do, and what it cant do I have no interest in. I did have a bit of a flirt with a Stingray, didnt like it and got shot of it!!
exactly the same as me Mr H
 16.
I am thinking of getting a left hand bass. Anyone any thoughts on this as a beginners bass please? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130974101695?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
i used to have an aria, cat bass IIRC, it had one of the fastest necks ive ever played
 17. Played a dep gig for 70s punk band The Straps last night, The 3 chords festival in Penzance, 300 miles each way!. Really enjoyable as i haven't played a festival in years, we went on just before the main band The Vibrators, 45 min set 18 songs that i had to learn in a week.
 18. And yes please also if MB1 don't have it of course
 19. Andertons in Guildford is a damn good shop, bit of a trot for you tho. http://www.andertons.co.uk/
 20.
played at Rebellion last night. hopefully it sounded better FOH than onstage. nothing to do with the engineers, who were helpful and professional, just very limited changeover times between bands, so soundchecking was limited to say the least, and i had a Marshall stack between me and the Ampeg fridge, so hearing myself or the bass drum was difficult. however, it was a complete blast and a huge load of fun; playing next to a butt-naked frontman who takes all the attention away from any of one's own mistakes kind of relieved any pre-gig nerves ! in summary : a winner.
whats your band called Phil. If you dont mind me asking?... Don't worry, just noticed the above.
 21. That looks like a good deal to me
This ones the keeper rodge! Still fancy a Wal one day and a thumb but this is my dream bass.
keep hold of it mate... Its a stunner.
 23.
Thanks...Yes, I have looked at that one and also another one I uncovered on a fan site. Neither of them 'feel right', its the change from the first riff on E to the second one that stumps me. According to a guitar tab it is a G#m after the E. It is also a tough track to hear the baseline clearly....using my ears anyway :-)
i thought it was A after the E?
