Hi Ive recently purchased a CIJ 60s RI jazz and its a wonderfully finished bass, i played it for about an hour then swapped over to my mim jazz, The tone and volume on the mim knocks spots off the jap, what's the best replacement pick ups i could use?? . Ive tried raising them but the sound booms and the tone doesn't improve.. Any help appreciated, Thanks,

Thanks people, after a bit of fiddling about (oops now the g strings deafening) its ok, got a steady volume over 4 strings on both pickups

Ive got a limiter/enhancer pedal , maybe that'll help?

Hi I've just bought a jap' 60s RI jazz off ebay, (she's a beauty pics to follow) i gigged it last night and when plucking the e i was getting glares from the band saying i was boomy?? The other strings seem fine, shall i take the e string off?? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Paul
