Thanks mate, appreciate that! We like it. Although....we tend to be called "Replacement Hip" more often these days 🙂

Hi everyone! Although I've been a member of this community for several years I've not been an avid poster/contributor - sorry about that! I'm hoping to get time to dive in a bit more regularly. BUT, please allow me an opportunity to introduce myself and my band Bison Hip (www.bisonhip.com). We're all (apart from Stevie on keys) in our 50s and have known each other around 25 yrs...give or take. We play Blues/Rock and have released two EPs and now 2 full albums of material. I'd love it if you could 'check us out'...as the kids say. I play mainly a 5 String Warwick Streamer Jazzman and have a few pedals... Pedal chain : tuner>TC Electronic Hypergravity>HX Stomp>Boss OC2>(and either) Aguilar Tonehammer or Tech21 Geddy Lee Sansamp 2112>FOH or into on stage Darkglass Alpha Omega 900> Aguilar DB 112 cabs (2) in chocolate thunder. Thanks for reading!!

Looking forward to appearing live with my band Bison Hip as part of the Carlisle Blues & Rock Festival this Sunday. We're on stage at 12.30pm if anyone from the bass community can make it along, be great to chat! 😉 (www.bisonhip.com) Cheers! Graeme

Agree with others in the "personal choice" route, or what sounds good to your own ears. I play live mostly (vs recording) and so use mine at the end of the chain for sending to FOH and dialling in an "end" tone I'm happy with while using either in-ears or amp & cab. Good luck experimenting 😉

He swung it for my decision to get one. Amazing unit, and he really knows so well how to dial in some incredible tones. His explanations of how he emulates some of the greats tones makes my head spin

Hi Richard. Nice amp head you have there! Been wanting one of these for a while. What are you looking for as a trade? I've got a Tecamp Puma 350 amp head just now I'm looking to move on, hence why I'm interested in U/G to the Aggie 500. The Tecamp is Probably worth around £300-350 if you're interested at all? Plus cash obviously to the value you're after for the Aggie. Tecamp help needed-uk parts/repairs URGENT
biskitbass replied to biskitbass's topic in Repairs and Technical
Quick update. Firstly thanks everyone for chiming in,great to have a bass-oriented community to be able to fire questions into like this. I messaged Tecamp and got a reply very qck from Thomas there, asking for pics of the inside of the amp so he could help, fed his advice to the repair shop in Glasgow (Flynn Amps, highly recommended, great guys and KNOW what they are doing) and hey presto, turned out to be a 3.15amp fuse that had blown in the output stage. Can't ascertain why it blew in the first place, the repair shop tested my speak on cables-nope, just need to watch and hope it doesn't happen again. Now I'm on the lookout for a cheap spare amp head just in case :-). Thanks guys! -
Thanks Platypus.
Should have mentioned that I bought this off a fellow basschat user last year and so don't know what kind of warranty it was under. Basschat have changed the forum lately and can't seem to find prev messages sent to the fellow basschatter to contact him :-(
