I could weep for the days when you could find a decent used Wal for less than £1000. I recall seeing a good mk2 at the Gallery in London for £1250! Sadly, the priced rocketed into the stratosphere when the original Wal operation closed it's doors. Now that it has restarted, prices haven't adjusted to counter that inflation.

I thought i remember that they closed up shop. Theres just nothing quite like a wal. The electronics are out of this world.
Wow mike. Thats some dam collection you have. Looking at the comments it seems as though they improved balance over the model series. Still, i had a go of one at the last bass bash. And i must say i qas highly tempted to get one, were it not for the price tag.
I came across this on Instagram, and i thought it showed really well the difference between them. Im not sure if its been posted before, but never the less, its also a beautiful picture. I think the mk2 is proably my favourite from this pic.
I bought a kit from ebay to make into a stack control plate for another bass, but time restrictions deem this unattainable. So its up for sale. Cts pots and fender parts, with black/silver stack knobs and push back cloth wiring. First to get me £60 wins. Posted.
Ill have a check on weight when i get home. If you google it, then youll probably get a fairly accurate figure.
With regards to the finish, i dont think they did white. However, i dont know what its original colour was.
