1. balls. he also has a black one to match my black one. Id have 2.....
2. excellent stuff Andy.
3. As pineweasel said, the westone was the only real bass out there with the single knob eq, one side bassey, one side trebley. Though EMG made a single EQ knob, the EXB which did something similar, but i think it boosted both treble and bass, and cut mids.
4. Theres a club called Rebellion on the deansgate locks. They have heavy bands play a fair bit. They have an event on this weekend called Noizefest. Have a look at their facebook page.
5. I think a few people thought the same as you with the functionality of the preamp controls and either prefer without, or want one that works well. Do you have a closeup picture of your preamp? It could be an old cap going, or a dry, poor solder joint causing the problem. When i got hold of a preamp, i think the underside (with all the solder) was in a poor state, i managed to re solder a few points and it started working again. Maybe try that. Though im sure someone out there may want the preamp if you dont, even broken.
6. Im on the wirral, by liverpool. The logo was not on there when i bought it. Looks cooler without in my opinion.
7. All basses work perfectly, ie, no crackling, loose pots, jacks, etc. Im just thinning down my collection of basses i dont often use. So: [s]Epiphone EB0 bass, £180. Theres werent made very often, and are a reissue of the original EB0 violin bass. Originall came with a stand so it could be played upright, but ive not got that. Sounds wicked and just looks dam cool. Few chips from the lacquer. [/s] SOLD Chowney Rickstinger Prototype. £100. Body modelled on a stingray bass, with the rest of the features coming from the rick. Sounds pretty decent. I was going to mod it with a load of extra pickups, but never got round to it as i have too many. Bitsa/parts p bass. £100. Put together with a nitro lacquered body, 90's encore neck, fender hot mexican pickups and CTS pots. Sounds killer, very bright and zingy, but an excellent tone control that turns it deep. Freshly restrung too with rotos i think. Dearmond Jetstar bass. £100. Bought this a while ago with the intent on pinching the neck, but i already have a lot of necks. Sounds like a tamer stingray, and a lovely neck on it too. Nice interesting shape. Bit different. Im always up for trades, so get in touch. Pics below, follow link for more. 8. Haha, i wouldnt call it a rick. Besides the pickguard theres nothing much copy about it.
9. Theyre all long scale. And model wise, you may be right about it being an eb1.

Sounds pretty decent. I was going to mod it with a load of extra pickups, but never got round to it as i have too many. Peavey Foundation bass, £175. American made bass that packs a punch with their ferrite pickups, to use the classic phrase, like a beefed up jazz. Ive stuck some aftermarket knobs on as someone had sold the ones originally on it. Very well made. Bitsa/parts p bass. £120. Put together with a nitro lacquered body, 90's encore neck, fender hot mexican pickups and CTS pots. Sounds killer, very bright and zingy, but an excellent tone control that turns it deep. Freshly restrung too with rotos i think. Dearmond Jetstar bass. £150. 11. Bought this as i required thunderous amount of valve flavoured power. It delivered. I had it serviced when i bought it last year and its not let me down once. Its been well gigged, so the tolex has a few little rips, one carry handle doesnt spring back, and one of the frequency selections doesnt work, but this amp works solidly. Only selling as ive just bought an SVT, the default bass amp. Hit me up with bass trades if you want. I can post, but be prepared to pay a few quid. More specs can be found online. PIcs here:
12. Ive too seen the sunn cabs with that arrangement, though not 4 speakers. I checked one of the speakers and it had the ohm rating only. May have to try a few others.
13. just got the bb preamp today. Nails it spot on. Thanks chaps.
14. So i bought this cab a few days ago, however, after some internet research, ive not been able to find out what brand/model it is. Any info is appreciated. Im mainly trying to find out max wattage for it. Its a 4x10 cab rated at 4ohms. Thats all i know. Pics: Thanks chaps.
15. Bumps are always good. But stop making me want to buy necks for projects. I already have too many!
16. Do you still have this?
17. Do you still have this, and where in the country are you?
18. i stand corrected.
19. Assuming the holes either side are for grub screws for height adjustment, whats the rod in the centre for?
20. Very interested. Just run through with me what the oscillation and diode mod does?
21. This bass has one of the biggest threads in this area. love to see it in person one day
22. Says on the link that the product is discontinued. May be getting rid of old stock?
