2.
Real sweet - Were it mine I'd be considering either a 4 saddle bridge - or a set of these however: Strange - I could have sworn they made them for bass too - can't seem to find them. In any case if you find intonation an issue you can look into it... Otherwise - Enjoy!
Im sure if you got a file on some brass ones, you could diy it.
3. I dont think so, ive had no reply since i posted
4.
Hello, I don't come on here very much, although I must say, it makes for quite funny reading. I have never seen this cab before, defo not one of mine. All the best. Mark Saunders
Haha, amazing. Cant get any more disproved than that.
5. The controls are as the rick, volume and tone per pickup, and a three way selector. The neck is about p bass width, and is in the middle depth wise. So not too chunky.
6. still hiding in the cupboard unused?
7. the bass wah still hanging around?
8. Sick bass, used in plenty of gigs, sounds wicked
9. you know you want this bad boy
10. This has been one hell of a wanted bass.
11. Aye, im in liverpool, well the wirral next to it
12. There's a bass in Cobham, Surrey that I'm after. However the guys says he wont post, so I'm looking for a helpful member here to collect it on my behalf, and then ship it to me at my expense. Anyone out there willing and able?
13. I agree with the agreements. And with good communication I don't see why it wouldnt work. I think that the buyer would probably accept liability should something occur in transit, though the sender would be best asking the buyer how they want it packaged and getting a picture of it sent before to see if it is sufficiently wrapped. Would it be possible to make a list of members who'd be willing to take part?
14. I'm wondering if this forum has some sort of messenger sender system set up. Ie, there's a bass in a part of the country that says collection only, but you're too far away to travel to get it. In this circumstance, a member of this forum would pick up the bass as and when they can, then proceed to courier it to the buyer. I only ask as there's a lovely bass down in Cobham, Surrey that's a bit too far for me to travel to and wanted to know if there's any member here from near that way that could pick it up and courier it to me in exchange for beer money?
15. Where about in the country are you?
16. Hey dude. Can we get some higher res photos of the limelight? Can't really make much out.
17. sexy combo. Ive played through it. As well as being loud, its very very light. Confusingly so. And with the price, definitely a good buy
18.
I nearly didnt get it as the guy was having serious second thoughts about selling it
Yeah, i still sort of do. Im after another as we speak. Had it been my ideal colour scheme, it would have stayed.
Congratulations - the recent Fenders are fantastic. The custom shop pups are punchy and have a great tone. You've scored a very nice bass there.
Funnily enough, the bridge pickup was dead when i bought it, so i had a guy in chester, under the name of "house of tone pickups" make me a set of formvar pickups. Sounded amazingly sexy on the last gig i played with it, which is what made me have second thoughts.
19. fairly light, and normal scale, 34"
20. Hey dude, im interested in the jazz. I dont suppose youre interested in a part trade for a 90's 57 2 tone reissue japanese precision?
21. Japanese or USA?
22. Still here and as sexual as ever. Loves a pick.
23. I think when doing a bit of wood that small, by hand is the best option. When i made a wooden purpleheart bridge, even filing hard made some parts come off. Nice and steady now.
