1. Dont suppose youre open to a trade?
2. I had a friend with one, but im not too sure of the brand, though someone on here may be able to figure it out. Just showing that they do exist out there.
3. Not too sure on the sound, but this one popped up on ebay a few weeks back, and it looks amazing. Seemed to use an old gibson mudbucker, 30Kish output. MOre pics here http://trichards.co.uk/gallery.php?load=images/gallery/MudbuckerP/
4.
:follows:
Noooooooooo. I wants it.
5. Came across this. Seems like everything is sound beside a few wiring issues. Excellent price at £40 for a squire P http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fender-squire-p-bass-project/1073338406#photo-content
6. I know exactly what you mean. I saw it when it came up, and ive been following its price. Im extremely tempted...
7. we got there after soulfly had played, so we missed them. Saw motorhead, and it did seem like he was standing quite still, but still played well. Only recognised 2 songs really as im not a massive fan. I wasnt too familiar with faith no more, so i thought they were a bit meh. Loved soundgarden though. We were queued in the burger queue for ages, and halfway to the food stand, they started, so we jibbed the food off to see them and werent disappointed, though i was expecting rusty cage. I loved Sabbath though! We were in the burger queue again waiting for food, and they started right as we were near the front so we thought we put too much time into the queue (40 mins by this point) and had to listen to war pigs while awaiting food. Was excellent. and i was bouncing around when they played children of the grave! Left as they started paranoid, though they were so loud, we heard the entire song as we were leaving. Brilliant day, though we didnt get as close as we wanted to
8.
The fingerboard inlays on the guitar neck look different, there's none on the 24th fret and the double dots on the 12th fret are positioned differently. So I doubt it's the same one. It appears to have evolved (pickup covers) and it's been butchered too (that pickguard )
Hmmm, i see that now. Bah well.
9. I just came across a bass/guitar double neck on ebay that i havent seen for a long time. I bought mine about 6 years ago, but sold it on as i didnt really use it. This one seems to be in a much sorrier state. Im wondering, as i havent seen another since if it is the same one.... Here are comparison pictures: mine And the one currently on ebay link http://cgi.ebay.co.u...ME:B:SS:GB:1120 It looks like its had different pickups put in it (or really shoddy pickup covers), a scratchplate fitted to get around having the controls through the wood, a big chunk missing from the rear trem cover, and a new control output put in for an unfathomable reason. Just a bit of a weird situation this happening. If it is the same bass, what did i get it into by letting someone have their way with it.....
10. sounds amazing dude. Good to see youre doing so well you can do endorsement deals!! Ps, that bass is why i chose purpleheart to make my acoustic bass bridge from (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/223699-purpleheart-acoustic-bridge-with-saddles/page__p__2296687__hl__purpleheart__fromsearch__1#entry2296687). Its just so dang pretty. You should make his entire bass from it.
11. So i bought two of these pickups from an american seller on ebay. he deals in NOS parts and a vintage guitar shop. He came across these, and they still had the plastic sheet on them. I installed them on a epi tbird i had, after a bit of routing, but i prefer the hotter epi pickups over them. They both read around 10K, and come with a good length of steel braided wire. The faulty one, it has a bad connection from the pickup, so that the output cable needs a jiggle before itll get a reading. However, i had installed on one of my basses this way, and once i had it screwed in place with a reading, it stayed there. So it is possible to use in a bass. i did try a little wire around it, but it didnt help. ive included a picture of the faulty area. These prices include postage. Im also interested in a trade for other pickups you have. 4 string only though. The working one is £45, the faulty one is £15 Pics:
12. yes, as long as you dont remove too much from where the neck line through the body is.
13. were you at download? I caught them there and they were amazing!
14. A chap i follow on youtube recently posted this video. Ive been a fan of the 100 guitar riffs, and can always watch it when im bored and enjoy it. And i was wondering if there was ever going to be a bass one. I dont think i managed to find one, but this chap Davie504 posted this up, and i think its excellent. He manages to nail them all spot on. Just thought id share really. 100 basslines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDKDdVilQT4 the 100 guitar riffs video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiC__IjCa2s
