3. Hey dude, ive messaged the guy i sold it to for bits of info missing. I can say that it had stereo output, like the real thing, and i know it was made in the 70's, but unsure of year. I dont know what model it is, but i dont think it was a professional, maybe an earlier model of the professional.
4. And a vid of sounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu92Qp1oKUA
5. Bunch of pics here dude, ill get some info on it soon http://trichards.co.uk/gallery.php?load=images/gallery/Gherson%20faker/

7.
Nice collection. Do you have one of your own?
I did a few years ago, a 5/7 string bass/guitar. But i ended up selling it as i didnt really use it. Got about £100 on top of what i paid for it, so i was happy. sounded beast though.
8.
Wow a real "parts box" job that one eh.... where do you find these Using an existing body seems like the idea practical solution (and I considered it) but the cost to the aesthetics is too much for me. The trick is finding the balance. I fear that my newest design may be placing more emphasis on looks that it does on practicality. Hopefully I'll be able to tweak this a bit more once I have the timber glued and have something physical to work with. I guess I should get some concept pics up soon.
That one is from here: http://www.philandjoanworld.com/index.php/pheo_guitars/ But i spent a few hours googling doubleneck and twinneck guitars, and saved a bunch of pictures i liked.
9. This one is quite compact, and i agree with the idea of angling the necks away from eachother to make it a bit lighter.
10. Fuark! I just now saw that the pickup is also his tie!
11.
This one is gonna happen in the next few months. Unless I go for the Partridge P
Gotta be the partridge P. Seriously, i wanna get a vinyl wrap and do it myself.
12. So, i got this in a bunch of stuff i bought from a chap. But i dont have any need for them, so off they go for sale. NB, the tuners dont come with the attachment screws, those tiny little buggers with the easily stripped heads.... Anyway, heres the stock as it currently stands, and these prices include postage: 3 x westone tuners (1 bass side, 2 treble side) £2.50 a pop, or all 3 for £7 4 x two a side bass tuners, generic brand i assume £7 1 x japcrap style tuner, i think columbus, with the.... see for yourself in the pic below. £2.50
13. peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemd
14. Alright! Yes! Ace! Heres a page of ideas for you. Ive been wanting to build a twin neck myself, as so have been collecting images for inspiration. Heres a collection of them, though admittedly half are twin basses, but screw them! http://trichards.co.uk/gallery.php?load=images/gallery/Doublenecks/ Also, consider making them splittable, ala the genesis. Guy built a tribute, and the method he used to keep them together was good. Heres his build diary. http://www.grubersaberhagen.co.uk/Grubersaberhagen/Genesis_Build/Entries/2009/6/27_Genesis_Build_Part_1.html Good luck with it.
15.
Aah Haa - And that's lunch…. Great thread
This one is amazing. I love it. *edit. Just noticed the "knob" placement!!!
16. Ahh. Just to let you know, that i too soon plan on making a bass along these lines, as i have too many pickups and i wanna try them all. Did you end up making several scratchplates for it?
17. I had a 70's stereo bass, but i wanted to plug both pickups into different amps, so i made this little doohicky. Basically goes from stereo output on the bass to two mono outputs, one per pickup. I dont have the bass anymore, so its yours for £5 posted. pic
