    so anyone know what bass that is too? Ive had a quick scour in the interweb, but it looks as if we are the closest people to figuring out what bass it is.

    Yes it can be. If you like i can just send it with the output wires and you can wire it yourself, or i can prewire it. Up to you.

    hmmm. After going over costs, i think £15 may have been a bit optimistic. I think it needs to be at least £20 which also includes p&p. Don't worry if you haven't read this, ill PM you the details when the preamp's are ready. If you feel its too much, then just let me know. Nothing here is written in stone. Also, i have fully made 2 sabres, but am just troubleshooting the dam things as they are not acting responsibly, and being downright unmanageable. I also have a sabre board and a stingray board populated ready to be harnessed. Pic of them below: I also have all of next week off from work in which i hope to finish the first run of preamps So there's a little update for those of you still following this little thread.

    Flat fretboard seems weird. For an idea, see one of those nylon spanish guitars. Flat as a pancake they are. Kinda weird. Id probably go for at least a gentle radus. Good looking stuff here!

    my mate who was in a band used to use a capo when the guitarist did because it was easier than moving the notes. he was lazy. But it did work.

    @Jack, i can supply the preamp with just two wires for the input instead of any blend/switch @Silddx, the control options that they come with are as follows Right now i am doing the following: Stingray preamp with vol/treb/bass (3 pots) Sabre preamp with vol/treb/bass + Bright switch (3 pots and switch) With either: -input only (two wires for pickup straight into the preamp) -blend knob -3 way switch And thats about it for now, i cant really do stacked pots, as im just following the original layout. Im also building them in my spare time, so quick delivery may not be an option. I have 2 sabre boards finished waiting for the pots, so those should be out pretty soon after i receive the parts. So there ye go! hope that helps. BTW, everyone who has sent me a PM, i have your "orders" written down, so i haven't forgot about you folks....

    Alright chaps, i have ordered the parts for 5 sabre preamps and 2 stingray preamps. So i should be getting them out soon. Sorry about the delay. Another point, would people prefer them to come in a box or a packet, or dont care?

    Hiya to the person reading this. Im not behind you, so keep reading on without worry.... I picked this bass from the 'bay, and all i wanted it for was the neck, so i am offering the body with all components here. the pickup sounds pretty decent, but it is passive with that weird double bass control config. So here are the pictures. It is a solid lump of wood, and comes in a sunburst finish. So here is the front:[attachment=113489:vintagemu-1341766346-312.jpg] And the rear: [attachment=113490:vintagemu-1341766351-314.jpg] All in all a nice thing, but i have no use as i already have one of these. Offers are considered for just about anything. You can view if you want as im around the wirral area. Also! If you want, i can remove the excess material from the bridge to make it look more musicman-esque. It will look pretty good. Just throwing that out there.....

    I was wondering if anyone round here had some HD shots af the MM sabre basses. I love these things, and i just want to spend hours looking at them, but as i have no access to one, i would settle for some photos. Ive had a good look im the pre-eb mm thread, but i want more HD dammit! That is all.....
