1. Basically, im making a sabre inspired bass, but im after this control panel, but i obviously cant find one online, so im wondering if anyone can make this thing for me, preferably out of chrome, but stainless the right gauge would be fine. My main problem is that i dont have an accurate diagram of it, so it would really be based off this drawing, or a real one if anyone has such a thing. Also, its not my bass, but im pretty sure it belongs to someone on here.
2. could be your nut is too low. But i dont think there should be any problem with a new neck.
3. Some good ideas here guys. thanks veggie much.
4. Im looking for some nice tracks to play featuring these guys, preferably around the 70's era as i want to play more hard rock style stuff. Any help is appreciated.
5. One of these: http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/guitar-bass-parts/electronics/250k-pots/dual-250kmn-blendbalance-audio-taper-pot-w-centre-detent-p-1560.html Basically, its an audio tapered pot, with 100% both inputs in the centre, rather than 50% of both, or 70%.
6. Bought it from cashies a few months ago for £120, so im looking for [s]£100[/s] £65 as it still plays lovely. Here are some quick pictures of it: As you can see it has a lovely bound neck, active pre with presence and a sweet little button that lights up and tells you if the battery is alright. Im selling as i want to fund a more expensive phone contract, and as i use this least, i may as well pass it on to someone who has a use for it. Im also open to trades and px's for any parts or other interesting things. Test play if you want as im around the wirral/ liverpool area and am available evenings and weekends.
7. Im trying to give the impression my neck is blocked, and i bought a set from america and they're goddam silver, not pearloid which is what the picture looked like they were. Any help?
8. I've got a jazz bass body, to go along with an all black (glossed black rear) neck from an italia modulo bass. Only problem im having is what paint job would suit the body. Im thinking about red or green black burst but besides doing an all black body too, anyone got any ideas? Its got a fairly nice grain to it, so i may do a stain of summat.
9. Hmm. seems kinda "im making fun at people who do this a lot" kinda listing....
10. I wish i was, but im afraid i dont even get the reference.....
11. I did it to one of my basses. I used some denim from some jeans. I wasnt sure what i was doing so i used PVA on top of the clearcoat then glued the top and bottom on, then ran a length around the border where they met. This is the result: It seems to have held up the last 5 years with occasional playing, bit of grime but no matter. If i were to do it again, i would at least sand the clearcoat to rough or off. But i suppose it depends on how professional you want it to look.
12.
All will be revealed but we digress from the thread
I must say im not too bothered. Ive decided on the stickers route as i had a eb0 with them and it looked pretty smart. Carry on....
13. You have yourself a PM fella!
14. To be honest, its finances. I wanted to buy parts for around 15 (5 stingray and 10 sabre), but ill probably have to buy parts for a few at a time and see how that goes. Sorry about the wait.
15. Sounds like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MkF_IIFiZk
16. wait, what?

Additional mass creates more punch.
35% weight reduction since the original 2TEK Bridge design in the 90's
17. i think so. You can use an appropriately sized split washer and what i used was a rubber o-ring i found when i fixed the ones on my headstock. A thin washer probably wouldnt go amiss. Of you could by a new set of tuners, and thieve the washers from them.
18. there's these guys. Not sure what constitutes extortionate prices, but ive had a custom made from them http://www.auroraproject.co.uk/3_ply.htm
