Thats where i got the proper wiring diagram from. im trying to compare them to see if its a layout problem. Im not sure why the diode is in there though. -

From here: http://www.sabrotone.com/?page_id=4 and it does say not authenticated. And i made sure to cut the traces, since the diagram went to the trouble of listing the number of them, i counted and made sure As for the 1 meg reverse pot, i talked to the David at SGD luthiere as to his source for his stingray preamps, but he said he just uses a 1meg linear taper pot, so i decided to. However, i did find a source for them in th uk: http://uk.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=RV16AF-20-15K-C1Mvirtualkey14860000virtualkey313-1550F-1M -
well, you place it lengthways under the pickup, or two pieces perpendicular to the pickup, the latter is probably easier. Here is a rubbish mspaint picture to give you a better idea (the big rectangle thing id your pickup)

I made a sabre bass preamp from online schematics, and ive wired everything up, but its not working. Im wondering if someone can help me diagnose the problem from the symptoms... basically, its very very quiet; the controls dont appear to be working (could be due to volume); and there is also static (i can hear bbc radio merseyside). But mainly the first one. Are there any common things that would cause the preamp to be quiet? Here are the schematics im using for reference

i use some offcuts from my garden hose, and they work quite well, but i think this stuff is also good http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plastic-tubing-medical-grade-1-diameter-price-per-mtr-/280643005095?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item4157a06aa7#ht_1341wt_1163

Calling prog_fiend. Anyone know where he is?
tommorichards replied to AttitudeCastle's topic in General Discussion
maybe financial trouble has got the better of him, and he has no internet, or possibly worse..... If he used to post semi regular, than fraud seems to be unlikely. How much, do you mind me asking, did you give him for the pedal? -
My mate is selling his 2008 USA precision as he prefers his lovely shorter ibanez semi hollow. I figure i may as well point out that this bass was bought in the USA by the previous owner, and then travelled on the same plane he was on over here. hence no hardcase as he was too cheap to pay the extra to hardcase it on the flight. so it really is a USA precision.... He has listed it here: http://www.gumtree.c...on-usa/98138216 Here he is with it in the band he used to be in And the model it is Its a precision so there is nothing more to say about it despite it having that precision sound. Any questions, feel free to ask.

How about this one? Quite a few weirdos here http://www.lordbizarre.com/

three way selector only? Then wired straight into jack.

If i were you i would probably choose option one. if you were me then i would use a concentric knob for the p pickup and tone, then a push-pull pot for the dual j pickup so you could have series -parallel option. but if it were me then id use a concentric for p volume and dual j volume, then a 5 way rotary switch for the dual j. but that's just me

Ive got a similar set up on my bass And id say it sounds quite scooped. If you were to add coil selection on the MM, which i probably would if i got it, then im sure it'd be amazing.

Well this place had them, but they seemed to have stopped stocking them http://www.dangleber...0Guitar%20Necks What it was, was a neck that fitted a normal 20 fret neck pocket, but had the fingerboard extended to 24 frets, sorta like the 21 fret ones that are on there. Not sure what upper access would be like, but theres an idea
