1. How approximately? And do you have any pics of the eyelets? How close are they?
2. I like how the bridge bears a resemblance to another leo design....
3. Did it come without controls? Yeah 250k and a 0.047 drop cap. The orange.
4. Maybeit was something to do with the nitro finishes being easily scratched, then it became mainstream....
5. Im looking for some pickup eyelets And some (probably) 42 awg wire. Besides Stewmac in the USA, are there any local (UK) sources for these parts. I want to fashion my own pickups, and these would be the only things i can see having a problem getting hold of.
6. same thing happened on one of my basses. Turns out somehow it was only resting on 1 screw, so the other would screw its self upward and protrude above the saddle. I fixed it with a few drops of superglue. Also, i have a few saddles lying around if you want one free of charge. (Standard barrels)
7. Ritter do some weird stuff. I mean, im not even sure if this is a bass, i really cant tell
8. So does the "mouth breather" statement. I like him. He does some good stuff.
9. I got a custom scratchplate from aurora. It was good, but the material they used was weird, like made in layers, and it wasnt the best fit, although i did send them the body instead of an actual design. Works though. It was this scratchplate
10. Theres a rockschool? Does that mean wht i think it means?
11. Not really. I like a nice clean bass. Maybe a bit of overdrive now and then, and occasionally a frolic on an envelope filter. But i dont see the need unless you are doing something specific
12. Yeah. My first expensive bass was a stingray cos of flea. I also want a FB4 also after i played one in a music shop and it was good.
13. More treble of the bass side.... "supposed" to make it sound more even. Or he just likes it that way.
14. Yes. My skin doesnt seem to like my soldering iron anymore. That must have been one engaging match to miss some wires out.
15. I agree. Pretty much all my basses are cheap things which i have enhanced through various electronic modifications. They all sound awesome in their own way. I could ever imagine a need to go boutique.
16. That dude loved vintage strats. So i wonder if they are still looking for them...
17. Yeah. Just a generic starter bass. Not a bad platform for modding though
18. Google images call up nothing. What body styling has it got? What kind of headstock.....
19. definitely the neck.
20. Id definitely do a parallel/series switch mod. Its a couple pence for a DPDT switch, a few minutes to solder, and then you have a major improvement.
21. One of the fellow forumites on Ebassist mentioned this place existed, so i made an account a few weeks ago, and have decided to start posting. I normally visit Harmony central bass forum; musician central bass forum; and ebassist. Since they are all based in America, i like the fact that this place isnt, where i may actually be able to trade stuff with some of you guys. So hi there!
22. This site has helped me a lot http://www.guitarelectronics.com/ Normal stuff, plus plenty of mods.
23. I occasionally buy Bass magazine, but i prefer guitar and bass. They normally have some good stuff, whereas Bass magazine focuses more on the players side of basses.
24. This is looking quite awesome man. I never thought of making a thunderbird headless. I am very much looking forward to the final result.
