6. set of (4) Rotosound RS4000 strings. E & A are Monel on a nylon core, D & G are nylon on nylon. E & A have been fitted to a 3/4 bass and played for a couple of hours, the D & G have never been removed from their packaging. The following is from the Gollihur site: These strings have been made for decades; they have a nylon core, which is flatwound with nylon on the G and D strings, and with monel (a nickel alloy) on the A and E strings. The strings have a comfortable soft feel, with a lighter tension than most steel strings, and good tone and volume. Rotosound indicates that they are good for many styles of music, including jazz, rockabilly, bluegrass, and contemporary styles. They are flexible and durable enough for comfortable slapping, but some players report that they have a sort of "boingy" (like an elastic band) sound under heavy slapping. The top strings have kind of a "tan" color to the wrapping, so they almost appear to be gut strings from a distance. They have a light feel but still have a warm tone. You might consider this set to be a alternative to gut strings if you want some of that flavor -- but with more definition and longer sustain than real gut. Also note that these strings do not have "Ball Ends" but rather loops on the tailpiece end of the strings. Looped bass strings (which are not as common as the ball ends we're used to seeing) are installed by wrapping the string around the hole in the tailpiece and back through the loop - similar to strings on a classical guitar.
7. Full set of 'The Jazzer' strings (4). Brand new and unopened. What else can I say? if these are the strings for you then grab a bargain! Now £110 posted.
8. bump for reduction to £1400.
9. wow, that's something special.
10. REDUCED TO £1400, NOW £1350!!!! Mike Lull P4 in virtually unused condition. Super light and really has the feel and sound of an early 60's P. I bought this not so long ago on here from Clarky, but a recent bad bout of GAS (an ailment I hadn't even heard of, let alone developed before joining this forum!!!!) has left me needing to free up funds and space... The Lull is mint bar the tiniest of dings on the lower edge which you can see in the photo. Nut width is 1.75 inch and the neck is lovely and shallow front to back, very much like a 60-63 fender. It includes it's original branded Protec case which is also in mint condition, although this could be swopped for a used Hiscox if preferred for posting. 11. It's a 'double baffle'. I don't believe the single version appeared until '66. I've actually A/B'd this against a later single baffle version and to my ears the difference is very subtle but the double has a slightly softer, more rounded bottom end.
12. Had some tempting trade offers but looking to free up funds, so 'bump'.
13. A 'forget to mention that I had a padded cover made for this that's included in the sale' type bump.
14. Good point! the amp (and myself) are in North West London.
15. Reduced to £1700! This is an early 1965 B-15N in stunning condition. Checkerboard tolex with matching dolly board. Original speaker. Even the original plexi logo is perfectly in tact and lights up. You'd be hard pushed to find another this clean. The amp has recently been serviced by Ted Wood who also re-wound the mains transformer to run at 220v. This means it doesn't need a step-down transformer and has a proper earth (meaning less hum and risk to life!). This obviously doesn't affect the sound which is amazing, plug in a passive fender and instantly get those old school tones. I don't really fancy shipping this as it's way too special, but will do anything reasonable to organise meeting up etc... Not really looking for trades on this one.
