1. It looks good. If you haven't pulled the trigger on one, Drop The Hammer NOW!.
2.
Lovely GAS justification logic at work there, well done.
Thanks man, it works for me. Jazzes, and Precisions are fairly similar, but the Jazz, to my lousy, old age, loud rock destroyed hearing, sounds more mellow, and a cleaner bottom. Recording sessions in Nashville worked out, and sounded better on the Jazz side of the street.
3.
Did you not just get the lovely looking walnut SG?
Yes I did. I like Jazzes more than the Precision I sold to get the SG Std. I still want to have a long scale Fretted. I have a long scale Fretless Jazz, a short scale SG Std., and a Fretted Jazz, when it shows up that is. That rounds me out. I prefer Jazzes over Precisions, so for me it works OK to have the second Jazz.
4. And after all is said, and done, time will pass, and The Beatles will still be The Beatles. Thanks Ed, for the really big show.
5. GAS! For a Fender, American Standard Jazz, Olympic White, Maple Fretboard. Serious GAS!
6. OH Great! You just had to show off that BEAUTIFUL Gibson! Congrats, and best of playing with it. Super looking T-Bird!
7. The shops in US, hardly ever have Fretless in stock. I acquired mine from Sweetwater, online.
8. For my bass playing, it all depended on the lead player I was backing. If the lead player was right handed, I would usually stand stage left, to his left, so he could look over to me easier while playing, if he needed to communicate something while playing. Left handed player, just the opposite.
9.
We are over in the states at the moment and it's pretty big news over here and I seem to recall that tonight on tv they have Paul and Ringo on tv ( not sure if it's an interview or a concert or both as I only caught a glimpse ). Think I will tune in because those scenes when they arrived here for the first time and the whole Ed Sullivan show thing are still amazing fifty years later and it's unlikely anything like that will be repeated ever again.
I think it's a tribute to The Beatles 50th year on The Ed Sullivan Show. Other performers, along with Paul, and Ringo. Now I'm to old to sit on the floor and watch like I did 50 years ago, but I'll watch it. I still believe The Beatles were one of the greatest societal phenomenon of all time. Apollo 11 was up there too! It wasn't everyday Armstrong, and Aldrin walked on the moon.

11. Just when you thought it was safe to look at a calendar. IT'S BACK! Fifty years ago to the day, Like I said in the opening post, THE BEATLES! SORRY, i just had to mark the day.
12. She plays so great with the ETB92S Nylons onboard.
13. Fretless just kinda' let the sounds take you away.
14. I finally restrung Electric Lady with her Nylons. Gibson is using Cleartone Strings from the factory. .45, .65, .85, .105. The only variation in gauge is the .45 G string. The D'Addario ETB92S Nylon Tapewound is a .50 G.
15.
That does look lovely. Dare I ask, an honest not biased answer please How does it balance? My EB2014 is neck heavy (but sortable with the right strap) but I keep reading that the EB's balance perfectly Peter
It balances good. It does have "The Neck Dive Of Death", being an SG Std. with a Mahogany Body. It doesn't dive when it's being played. My strap is a bit rough on the inside where it contacts my shoulder. That cuts down on the slipping across that area when not playing. The forward neck strap button is to far in on the back of the SG Std., as compared to the EB Bass's location of the forward strap button. This brings the strap straight down, not on an angle toward the head of the neck.
16.
lovely, gsgbass, very lovely indeed. You're giving me GAS for a Walnutty Thunderbird. Mmmmm.
That's a nice bass to get some serious GAS over. The only thing that stops me from doing a Walnut Thunderbird, it's not Fretless. I'm getting very spoiled again with the long scale Fretless Jazz.
17.
Was thinking of getting the lefty model, you've just made my mind up.. That is stunning, will sweetwater ship to the uk?
I think they do. Sweetwater has been pretty darn good with my orders. They got this Gibson out in a timely fashion, and packed the shipping carton very good. The Gibson carton was packed in an outer packed shipping carton.

19.
You are teasing us with just a head shot LOL
Naaahhhhh!
20. A bit of a Rickenbacker body shape, and PG on it.
21. Of my two basses, my favorite bass is my Fender Am. Std. Fretless Jazz. Great to play without frets to get in the way. Smooth action, decent Rosewood on the board, good balance not heavy on the neck, and I like the Alder on the body. Intonation is right on, with no dead spots on the board.
22. Well,……………………… "Electric Lady" showed up via, FedEx Friday the 31st. Atlanta, Georgia was about all iced in, and shut down, so they ran straight through to Miami, Florida. That was only about forty miles south of my location. I recieved her a day late, but it's here, and it looks nicer than the Sweetwater photos of it do. Now, just waiting on the short scale D'Addario ETB92S Nylon Tapewound Strings to arrive by mail. This lets the bass get acclimated to my environment before changing the strings also.
23. Congrats! That looks GREAT! Best of playing with it.
24. Thanks for the heads up on wildwoodguitars.com I think it's a great way to promote, and help sales. It is nice to be able to see somewhat what you're ordering. Hands on in a shop is the best, but that isn't always avalible.
25. I had a chance to get an EB1 once, and didn't have the funds. An old friend who played one loved his.
