1. Gramma pad bought from Gary. Faultless transaction.
2.
Most are 2.5 inches. The status replacement ones are built for that.
Status?
3. So, basic question is suspect, but are jazz and p bass neck pockets the same? Same screw holes etc? I like the bass, so, could be the way forward
4. Although the Us standard jazz is 38mm, My MTD is 39
5. According to Fender the Nate is the thinnest at the nut and narrowest profile. Hmmm,....
6.
Ive had a Lakland JO jazz neck on my CVP for almost two years. Best thing i ever did. Before that i just swapped my two Squier CV necks over as i dont use the Jazz much. The CV necks also have vintage frets, and i feel this makes them a bit faster for me, as i dont need to press down as much.
Mine has nice small vintage frets too. It's not that it's hurting my wrist, just not helping it. It's the bass I pick up most at the moment, as it just has that feel about it. Like the look of the Duff ones too..
7. So, you'll have read about my wrist problems? Well, maybe not, but the upshot is that I'm managing tendonitis, it's fine, but responds better to slim and narrow neck profiles. I'm loving the P bass sounds and vibe, and my recently acquired Classic Series 50s is ace. However, I'm wondering which P bass models from which manufacturers have smaller necks. Mine is not exactly a baseball bat to be fair, but my MTD has a slim neck front to back and also nut width. Well, it seems slim to me, and certainly more so than the P bass. So, suggestions please. Ta v muchly
8. I'm now hankering after and Attitude Bass. Mucho moola though..
9. Yes, I've had a few dealings with Mark. Very nice, enthusiastic chap, recommend him and his shop.
10. It is but individuals only, and won't cover a band.
11. Great bass, I'd not worry. It could be that folk who criticise it are missing the visual cue and reference of a standard bass like a Jazz or something. But it sounds ace.
12. I thought it was quite good actually. Yeas, hugely self indulgent, but I liked see the different styles, some immense talents there, ace drumming. And I enjoyed seeing Billy close up. Come on folks, we are bassists, so let us appreciate it.
13.
I insured with www.gclloyds.co.uk Our policy states: Policy Number: xxxxxx Customer Number: xxxxxx The Insured: (Name of band) Specific Trade: Musician (Band under 6 members) Effective Date/Time: xx/xx/xxx Expirary Date/Time: xx/xx/xxx Public Liability: £1,000,000 Employers Liability: Not Included Products Liability: Included, Indemnity: £1 Million This to me says that the BAND is insured. Thoughts?
Does to me too.
14. I think it is key to realise that if the individuals have their own policies this will not be sufficient to protect a BAND in the event of a claim. Sounds daft, but all my extensive research into this pointed to this. Thus we have a policy with the BAND name on it.
15. Minefield. Technically you need a policy covering the band name, and not once or indeed all of the individuals. I looked into this long and hard. You will get varying answers, but you need a policy in the name of the band, and it will cover the band performing with whatever members. We use Richard Weston. Very good. £200 all in, for 5 piece band, 70 ish gigs per year, 5 members, no pyrotechnics. And the laser must be aimed 30ft up. It's not worth messing about and risking it otherwise, not worth taking a shortcut IMHO.
16. Hi I need the bigger one, and have the smaller one. Anyone? Or could sell the smaller. Chris
17.
Neox212 - Best cab I've ever owned.... even better than the Berg 610. Had 2 of them at one time but just never needed the 2nd one. 1 cab does all to a VERY high volume! Congrats!
Excellent. Yes, it does seem like a proper monster set up for sure.
18. Ah, nice advice thanks folks. I use the 10% ibu gel, will try voltarol. Thought about short scale , a 5 string would do it too.
19. Ah. My bro gets white finger.
20. Funnily enought the 12.2 was my other option. I went for old school transformer tech as I love the bloom and weight of note that comes from this technology.
21.
Roqsolid do none padded ones. Still be about 30/40 quid I'd guess.
True dat. Conversely I've just upgrade my new cover to be 4mm foam from them for a little extra.
