1. Thanks. Yeah I didn't look at the pics, sorry! Looks good and I am tempted
2. What connections are on the back please? Manual on the net is unclear on whether the DI is xlr?
3. Ok, so I have the latest version of this, pedal is mint as far as I can see, box (tin) has one or two dings, nothing serious though. I've owned it from new, for about 6 months I think. Just not using it much any more. All works perfectly, basically it is like new, so save some dosh and get it bought. Cheers Chris
4. Excellent show. I don't think it can really be criticised in any meaningful way. Barnes gives a modern take on it, and I am the biggest Edwards fan.
5.
Already sold it on to Tayste, sorry.
Lol ok thanks. Yeah, I sold mine, but could do with one again.
6. Gareth do you want to sell me your nano?
7. For what it is worth I am back with Markbass. I had some 112ext cabs ( their cheapest ones) - very nice, but my ears just prefer markbass.
8. On one occasion, I was playing guitar on a gig, when the bassists amp (Markbass LMK)went up in a puff of smoke. She had no spare with her. However, in my "box of leads and other misc gigging stuff that comes on every gig" I had my GK MB200. Much, it must be said, to the amusement of the rest of the band. I am not sure how amused they had been if I had not had it with me. Oh, and another one. I was on bass, and one of the guitarists amps failed - Ashdown Peacemaker valve combo. So, MB200 to the rescue again - his overdrive pedal into the input, and patched directly into those combo speakers. Actually sounded better than the ashdown itself usually did, but that is another story. I always carry 4 guitar leads, 2 basses, a spare kettle lead, and some basis tools. I order that the basic tools in my band can be bailed out....lol
9. Well, I am keeping this for now at least. It is too nice to sell for way below what it is actually worth, so it is staying.
10. Well, I am 42. In my teen years I studied Clasical Guitar up to and incl grade 8, and same with drums. So that all took up a lot of time, at home, school, and a Sat am music school. Then I spent 15 years with office jobs, and would practice to learn songs for bands. I also went through a sustained period of teaching myself to play bass as a proper bassist, and also lead guitar properly (developing from my classical training). 4 years ago music became my career, as a gigging musician (drums, bass, guitar) and full time private teacher of the same. I'd love to say I practice now, as I need to work on certain areas and we never stop learning. However, when I'm not working I like to other things. I think if I was able to focus on a single instrument I would, but I have to keep 3 balls in the air. So, I only practice to learn songs, and I am able to do this really quickly so I don't spend much time at all. But, I'm gonna set some goals to change this.
11. cant see pics, its asking for a log in...
12.
Its a doddle to learn by ear. Take you 20 mins.
I'd say so. The hardest thing is the muting so as to not have open E droning or harmonics accidentally generated at the 7th fret, plus the feel as some of the notes in the main riff are cut off short, and some are not. Good line to play though. Nice and melodic.
13. To. The. Top. Anyone? Five string trades! What you got?
14. I can vouch for Ady as a top chap, deal with confidence Chris
15. yes, I use one. I had to reglue the carpet after a couple of years in one corner, no big deal. I got one without the PSU, and I use a Diago Powerstation instead - smaller and better.
16. OK, see post one for update. I just want to sell one of them.
17. All of them. Brilliant.
18. It's a great idea
19. View it s a business trip, and not a "jolly". That way, you will get the most out of it in terms of furthering your band.
20.
At my last gig my Lows were set at 10 o clock!
Mine are frequently there or less. Works a treat.
21.
I always have my 4x10 on the floor, with no fancy gizmos isolating it. I set my EQ flat, except for a smidgen of VPF and VLE to taste. The way I get rid of boom is to then adjust the Lows until I get the desired effect. It's slightly different for every room.
that is it, exactly. The LM3 has a great low control, which I find always needs to be dialled back to some degree, often alot more than you might expect. Honestly, you should be able to sort it with just the EQ on the amp. I have always managed to, seriously.
