So, I'm switching bands in the New Year. I am rejoining a band I set up a few years ago, and will be playing drums. I have deposed for them a few times over the last few months, and the invitation came out of the blue. Consequently, I have a surplus of bass amp gear. I am going to keep a rig for any bass dep work, but I will not need all this gear. So, four items are on the block. I won't let them all go, but listing all here to gain interest. The price in the advert heading is nominal, please see below for actual details. SOLD Genz Benz Neox212t. As new, with box. Couple of the usual marks on corners etc. I've had it from new. Ace, no issues. Sounds awesome with the Streamliner. £350 SOLD WITHDRAWN Genz Benz Contour 500 210 combo. As new, with box etc. Used once. I bought it as a backup only a few weeks ago, but won't need it now. WITHDRAWN SOLD Genz Benz Streamliner 900. Just got this on here, it's as new. Not got the original box. Works brilliantly. No issues. SOLD SOLD GK mb 200 head. Used as a backup, and occasionally as a main head. Might let it go for SOLD As I say, I need to keep one rig. My actual preference is to keep the Streamliner, sell the combo, and either sell the cab and buy a smaller one, or trade the cab for WHY. I can of course do pics, and will do. However, be assured that all these items are in very very good condition. See my feedback for reassurance. All items in Nottingham, can post at cost, Chris
I've used my Streamliner through a Compact and a TechSoundsystems 2x12 and have to say that the 2x12 wins hands down. Compact is a good cab but won't compete with your Neox if you ask me.
Yeah. My neox last night was awesome. I rolled the tweeter off, and still had plenty of details. Warm, punchy, loud. Marvellous pairing.

So, I'm in my studio testing my new to me Streamliner 900. Marvellous it is too. I've nabbed the "flat"setting off TB and all is splendid. Anyway, I'm using it into my Neox 212t. I have always , always used tweeters in all my cabs. I kind of felt that I might be missing something if I didn't. Then, out of interest, I turned it off totally. To my surprise it sounded just as good, if not slightly cleaner and rounder. So, I'm pleased. Pleased as I am now tempted to score one of the Compacts in the fs section. I reckon the STM into one might sound rather splendid. Just sharing. Any thoughts?

The cab now arriving at Platfoam 3...

Could you not just put it on a big piece of the foam, the size of the cab footprint? -

Interested. Do the plans tell you what drivers to use? I assume so....
Thanks very much dude! Unlikely to be around that way unfortunately though. How do you find that setup?
Same question from me.

BB2 is full range. Compact is not - no tweeter. Very warm cab. I'm still hanging my nose around the BB2 to be honest
I've just taken delivery of an HD350 and will be comparing it directly with my Shuttle 9.2, with a view to keeping the one I prefer. Results to follow...
splendid. Ideal for all us amp saddos. I look forward to the results.
A manufacturer get tired of reading discussions about their products?
Yah I thought that as i wrote it...you know what I mean
And I wouldn't describe the Compact as 'very transparent'. It is a pretty honest sounding cab but only within its usable bandwidth and that bandwidth certainly doesn't go high enough for everyone, especially once you're out in the room.
Alex, you must get tired of reading these threads.
I'm buying a new combo today, have been torn between these & the GB Contour. I think I need to drink more tea while I decide. TC looks better but arguably has issues, then the GB just seems to be a bargain and has the option for an extension. Decisions decisions.
I made this same choice. I chose a Contour 210, as at £300 it is a steal. It's not that small / light, but I suspect that it is far more versatile in terms of the gigs it can handle. EQ is great too. Nice and simple, everything you need, nothing more. Just my 2p

Hang on a sec. The RS210 has a tweeter I think? The Compact does not. Different beast entirely, both good.
