1. SOLD! I haven't really had a use for my 5 string since the last band ended back in July 2012, so as there are other things on my radar, I am gonna put this up there for sale. I was never a massive fan of 5 strings as I had never found a string spacing that I got on with until this one. Its in absolutely top condition and has been very well taken care of. I would think anyone would be pushed to find any marks on this at all. Feel free to PM with trade offers, but I warn you ahead of time, theres probably not many things would peak my interest at the mo. Worth a try though! Things that might tempt me - think valve amps, nice P Basses, stuff with maple boards... give it a go. If you wanna swap for a Gibson RD Artist, then you've probably got a deal, as thats one of the things I'm aiming to raise funds for if possible. Complete with hard case, all the case gubbins that it comes with, and 2 extra sets of strings. If you play this, you will fall in love with it! 2. We're on the internet... go look at some front bottoms instead
3. I'm a massive NiN fan too, and I personally love what they are doing as well as loving how they did it prior. Seen them live more times than I could list, and have loved it every time. I see this as being the NiN equivalent to George Lucas f*cking with Star Wars - The hardcore fans will not generally like 'their' baby being changed, but at the end of the day, we don't have a say, so if its not for you anymore, I say move along and save yourself the rise in blood pressure if it REALLy gets to you.
4. Do you know what the output would be at 8ohms? Cheers
5. Does this only do 4ohms?
6. Hoping that mine lands this week too
7. Not cool at all, as if someone has that little respect for anothers (very expensive) gear!
8.
Anyone else on here got a Matamp gt200 mk2? is it just me and Steve?
I'm on a mk1, but I desperately want the return of the effects loop, so I can use the valve power section with another preamp when I want! I've rang Jeff, and I'm gonna pop over, but it sounds like he thinks it would be pricey to do
9. Absolute bargain, I'm toying with selling my natural one as I don't often need 5 strings anymore, but there's no way I'd let it go for that price! Whoever buys this will not be disappointed!
10. Just had a sneak peek of the etching on my pedal today, looks class! Cheers Tom I can't wait now!
11.
svt 300. Cadillac of valve power section also doubles as an outstanding hifi amp!!
Flog me yours Roon?
12. Svt300 and Mesa strategy both look ideal, but might have trouble finding them by the sounds of it!
13.
...or you could hunt around for something like a used rack-able Ampeg SVT300 ? I've been down that route.
Could be a good call, are they hard to find though?
14. If I wanted to get a valve power amp, 200-300 watts, what UK builders are around that are my options? Cheers
15. Also want some of these!
16. Another great little transaction with Matt! Thanks again
17. I only remember one time I used another persons rig in the last maybe 5 years to be honest, and that was rOB off the forums rig when we went and played with Madam Fade down in Leicester (cheers Rob )
18. I have no doubt someone will already have emailed him...
19.
In the factory presets under bass there is a British Ad20 model on my version
Yeah I've got that, but there's an ad200 in a bass pack in jamup that I was messing with, and thought it'd be nice to open that in bias, if you see what I mean.
20. I can't see AD200 in Bias, am I missing something?
21. It's not how I play, or anything like how I would have my tone, but I don't see that it's too odd really. I was expecting something really out there...
22. I only wish you could take a jamup preset model and open it in bias, like the AD200, at least until I understand bias.
23.
Save your money and check out Tayste's iOS for the gigging bassist thread in the effects section.
+1, dip your toe in the water with jamup and bias, and see how it goes!
24. Seem to be less valve options than I expected. Or maybe I just don't quite know what I'm doing
