A question for Toasted - do you own, or have you owned a Barefaced cab? I only ask to be able to put posts in this thread into perspective in my head, regardless of my own personal opinion on Barefaced gear. Everybody has their own opinion of certain gear and are welcome to it. Cheers!
Dunno if you missed this question Toasted? Cheers.

No barefaced cab I have owned have had a handle split, but both have sounded amazing. Problem? Not for me. Sounds a good trade off even if they did split after serious use anyway. Those rubber handles have always been my least favourite on any cab they have been used on, but quite a few seem to use them, so what makes this a barefaced problem? Sounds like a thread getting a bit derailed by a few who don't like barefaced to me. Are the people waving pitchforks demanding that handles are all replaced free actually owners of barefaced cabs out of interest?

I have had a few Devi Ever pedals, and my fave for bass is by far the Ruiner. If you are ever up the North East, feel free to try any of my pedals out.

Love em! And personally, Six was my favourite album by them.

There's a free iPhone app called ustream that could do something for you, but I doubt you would be able to sync up sound from the desk, just what hits the phones that are streaming...

If it helps, I think he uses http://www.stageit.com/

I agree it's a great idea if you are likely to interact with the people watching, Dave McPherson makes good use of things like that, gets fans to pick set lists, then streams acoustic gigs from home... It works well cos its just him and Ye people at home. If its a launch gig, I'd just concentrate 100% on the crowd there and engage them first. If you aren't including the people online somehow, it may as well be the next day they see it anyway? That's just me, I reckon it's more hassle that you might expect, but a great idea if done properly! Good luck, if you pull it off, post a link on here!

I'd just film it and put it on youtube the next day to be honest.
I hope you're not talking about the Vintage there Si...
No chance I think the vintage is here to stay now!
Where in Scotland are you? There are plenty of Basschatters in Scotland and Northern England (myself included) who would be happy to let you have a try of their gear to help you in the process of finding what you like...
Count me in if you wanted to try anything, but I'm in the North East.

I'll sell you a bargain 2x15

No, that one remains firmly velcro'd on my board That one's a later one after it was changed to Octave rather than Octaver, so that's early '84 onwards...

Does anyone have any idea what the serial number of the first Boss OC-2 would be? It's a daft question I bet, but I just picked another one up today, popped the serial into the Boss serial decoder, and it's come up as April '82, which is from what I gather, the first month of the Boss OC-2 production... So it just got me wondering what the first one is, or who has the earliest one on here? Si, I'm looking at you!

To be honest, a sense of humour would be a high priority for me looking for a band member, and where's the harm in a bit of light heartedness? Does anyone care to guess whether I'm a carnivore/omnivore/pescitarian/veggie/vegan based on my post? Do you really think you could tell? Does it really matter? I'm sure everyone here respects the request, and I haven't seen any rudeness on the replies, mainly just a genuine interest in the reasons behind the spec given.

Only pic I have of it on top of the vintage so far -
Hi Wooks. Did I see on here somewhere that you were thinking of moving it on? How does it handle drive?
I was, but then I realised I would be an idiot to, its amazing!
I have my new Matamp gt200mk2 with blue 1010 tolex and a white faceplate with graphics and a matamp cinmascope logo up for a swap. i want to downsize as i don't need a head this good to be honest. I would only trade for a orange ad200b and a orange 810 in orange tolex.
I have nothing to swap, but would love to see some more pics!

*UPDATE* Sirens in the Delta - my first track with new band...
Wooks79 replied to Wooks79's topic in Share Your Music
Thanks very much, I'm happy as that's the second time I've had NIN mentioned in context to my basslines. I don't see it, but I have always been a fan, so maybe it's crept in there! The first was on a track by my previous band - http://youtu.be/3QW4a_Pxnh4 -

That's fine, thanks for commenting! I have no clue about recording, I've tried a few times, to no avail, so we just go in the studio with people. Personally, I'm happy with the result, but maybe I'd notice a difference if it was improved in the ways you mention? I dunno -
I've recently got one of these eno rat clones, tiny mooer size enclosure, and to my ears is identical to the proco rat. At about £26 delivered on eBay, it's worth a shot for you! I'm thinking of getting a second one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRkC5oZ2nwk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uex3Sbnx9lQ

I know these threads quite often go unread, or at least uncommented on, but I just thought I'd share this new track with you lot! After my move I've just joined the band, but it's all still very early in their time as a band too, and this is the first track we've recorded since I've joined. It's a big change from my last band, Dresden, and I'm finding it a lot of fun! Have a listen, feel free to comment - https://soundcloud.com/sirens-in-the-delta/paris-advance-promo-upload/s-S8nw5 Cheers *UPDATE 28/06/14* Video added - http://youtu.be/EmIfC955kGs
