Jazz

Three of mine, a 2000 USA 62 Reissue, a 69 neck with 94 replacement body, a 1984 Tokai in CAR I have a 84 fretless too, lovely!
10.
Some very good bass on your collection (Italia, Hofner, Shergold, Gibson, Danelectro ...) When I see all that basses, I just said to me that it miss a Rickenbacker ! ^^ You can show some pictures of your shergold on the shergold porn thread if you want.
Never been a Ric fan, love the look but found the sound too limited for the styles of music I've been playing over the years, thats why I got the "Fenmanbacker" Ric looks with a Jazz neck and a Music Man pickup!
11. Oh..... and "sort" after! what's that about?
12. My favourite is "Relicing"! A word that many feel exists, if it did wouldn't it mean replacing Lice?
13. Pic 2 Top: Fenmanbacker (looks like a Ric, feels like a Jazz sounds like MM! solid flamed maple body) 1978 Musicmaster Middle: Esp Horizon modded, 2000 USA 62 Reissue Jazz, 2008 Music Man, 69 Jazz neck (replacement body), Ibanez Ergodyne. Front: Custom Precision, 1988 Jap Precision, Custom Jazz. Pic 1 Top: Italia Mondial, Ashbory Bass (for sale), Danelectro Longhorn, EBO Middle: Tokai fretless bought new 1984 (ebony board), Custom P, Tokai Jazz 84, Shergold Marathon 76, Hofner Bottom: Epiphone non reverse Thunderbird The upright, acoustic and a couple more were too shy to pose for photos!
14. Just back from a Simon & Garfunkel tribute charity night with some of Glasgows finest! Acoustic mostly first half, bands second, I was playing with the house band, everything from "Bridge over Troubled Water" to "You can call me Al" Such great songwriting, a pleasure, learnt in a week and laid to rest now, to the next challenge! Big up to the horns! No Rehearsal! Fab.
15. Somehow I don't think this will sell! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-1981-Ibanez-...=item43a6164ce1
16. Sold Rob a Fishman Preamp, been sitting in a case for a few years now (the Preamp not me!) Glad to see it go to such a gent!
17. Just took delivery of an Allparts Jazz neck from Colin, what can I say that hasn't already been said ? An absolute doddle of a transaction! great comms, Cheers mate!
18. I bought a B200 Rocket Combo and had to return it as the rear panel had been bashed in, (packaging was factory perfect, unopened) also terrible cabinet rattle. Returned it and was sent another, and guess what! exactly the same (looked like the panel had been hammered in to fit!) All the screws and bolts were loose which caused most of the rattle,... all tightened and still had a terrible rattle when you played a B or C at gigging volume! No longer trusting or using Chinese Ampeg!
19.
what is wrong with it? cheers
Truss rod adjustment is at the base of the neck on a "genuine" from this period the head should be plugged.
20. And still no mention of the new fingerboard or Gotoh 20-1 finer geared tuners from the Eighties!
21. Definitely fake! truss rod adjustment on headstock a give away.
22. Who are they ? Looks like a Dundee hen night!
23.
I was thinking about maybe getting the fretless version but then I played a fretted one in GAK. It was very very disappointing. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59067
Cheers, didn't know someone had already checked it out, a fine looking bass does not always make a fine playing bass!
24.
Is this yer man?
Gads...! Hope I never bump into him if I'm in the company of some semi famous musician from the Sixties! he seems to have formed a band with almost every one he's ever met! wonder why they were all so short lived ?
25. This is one very attractive bass! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epiphone-Zenith-semi...=item4aa9987ce8
