1. I really want this.
Anyone have any idea how much it would have cost new? I realise it's pretty much completely a custom job, but i've never even seen a Warwick with this finish...is it rare? He's also selling a 6-er (slightly cheaper!) with the same finish...

Also a plague on the house of the person who said he should sell it for more!

  2.
I had visions of the 'performing' monkeys being run over by a tank.
    pity it didn't happen.

    anyone got a tank?
I don't have a tank but i'm willing to sign up for your cause, SIR! *salutes*

  3. Now now, no badmouthing Brookes!

And also, I found the workers in the Oxford Guitar Gallery or whatever it's called to be arrogant barstewards. They're rude and look down on you. One of my friends went in there, he's a guitarist in quite a big band in Oxford, I don't want to name drop.

Anyway he picked up a guitar and had a look at it, and one of the assistants said "don't pick up the guitars if you can't afford them".

So he just dropped it and walked out.

  4. I'm in Oxford and I always find them to be professional, friendly blokes.

Rumour has it that one of the shop assistants is the son of Mark King too...

I went in there and asked them what strings they recommended for slap, and they said "Oi (name I can't remember), give your old man a bell and find out what strings are good for slap!".

They looked at me and saw my bemused expression and then said "his dad's Mark King"

    "noooooo"

    "Yeah really"

So I dunno whether that's true, but if it is, how awesome is that?!

I just watched this in awe. I want to be able to play bass like this, it's so beautiful. Can anyone give me pointers or artists to look out for? I know it references Stu Hamm but all the stuff I seem to see by him is quite quick.

What kind of theory is behind this? Chord shapes, scales etc? Can someone recommend anything theory wise that would help me here?

    Sorry for another annoying post..

    James

A nice bit of sneaky plugging there! Tempting, though I should probably get to grips with the 4 string first..
