Stunning neck from my 70's Tokai - My fave bass for many years.. Fingerboard was extended many moons ago and now reaches to an F sharp..Straight neck,no damage, original tuners....Plays like a dream..Would prefer to trade for Fretted equivalent or £130 of your hard-earned dosh...
Am I right in saying you are selling just the neck and not the full bass? -
Sold 4 XLR cables to Trev. Great to deal with from start to finish. Pleasure to do business with. Do not hesitate to buy or sell to this man.

Due to a pain in the backside that I shan't go into, I had to make over 50 XLR's for a project I was working on. Now I have no use for them, I am selling them on at equal cost to what I spent. XLR Specs: £4.50 + p&p 5m Male Female Nickel Cast Connectors 0.4mm cable braided shielding. p&p rates are on average about £4 for 5 cables (A lot more expensive that I had originally hoped!) I will be away for 2 weeks starting next Sunday (August 14th. There are still many cables left so please feel free to leave messages and I shall reply upon return!) Kind Regards, Dave EDIT: JACK CABLES NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Been working on recording this song the last 6 months or so. Originally I wrote it as part of my school work in 2007. I'm not a prolific songwriter, never have pretended to be. But this song I've always enjoyed listening to and recording. Please feel free to download it HERE. It's the top song. Didn't do anything fancy with the bass. Has a DI from by custom built clark jazz bass, mixed with a Sennheiser 421 on the middle of the cone and a Nuemann M147 on the Tweeter. The amp was a LMII and cab was a 410 Ampeg Classic 450. Hasn't got massive bottom end but it really reinforces the guitars. Just wanted to share because im particularly happy with how it is sounding! Feel free to browse my back catalogue!

One more! After the amount if time it took me to get a good (acceptable) take of this, I can't see my self doing many more of these unless I'm better practiced!

Bought a Warwick Fortress One from Mel. Absolute pleasure from start to finish. Easy transaction, bass arrived very quickly and well packaged. Do not hesitate doing business with Mel! Dave
So after being a right spanner and starting this thread under a different name and forum ... Here is my entry ... A fretted attempt at Jaco's Continuum. Played on my Warwick Fortress One '94 (Recently purchased from Evil Undead). Played through a Little Mark II head and Epifani PS210 cab! Got a lot of videos to get through, what I've watched so far though has been mint!
And less we forget, here is a couple of videos of my soon to be ex band playing at Colne Blues festival last summer!
Not up to me mate just thought you'd get more views there. FWIW I'm not a Jaco fan but I thought you got a really good fretless tone from a fretted bass.
Very kind of you to say so! making my way through a mass of youtube videos now!

I suppose strictly speaking this isn't a thread started with a specific or group of basses in mind so I hope i've got this in the right area! If it needs to be moved please do! We all spend far too long browsing the latest basses/amps/gear and a lot of us are completely dedicated to perfecting our craft. Whether your just starting on the bass or your a veteran I don't think there is any argument that YouTube has became a great resource for bass players. I have always found home videos of bassist inspiring, whether its been great playing, a great song, or great tone! I wanted to start a thread to give our fellow bassists young and old, a chance to show off their playing/basses/amps/tones etc, After all thats why we are all here ey? So if you want to show off your playing, basses or gear, post a video! To kick things off, here is mine ... A fretted attempt at Jaco's Continuum. Played on my Warwick Fortress One '94 (Recently purchased from Evil Undead). Played through a Little Mark II head and Epifani PS210 cab! Ok, so it isn't brilliant playing. But I'm showing off!

I play my 7 year old beaten up Squier Affinity Jazz at Gigs. It has American Fender Pickups and SI circuitry with a BAII bridge. Last week at a gig, a musician came up to me and asked if it was an American Fender I was playing. I said Essentially yes but I payed £250 for it and it says squier on. Just proves you don't need to spend thousands to get what your after!
