NOW SOLD!! For sale is my 2013 MusicMan Stingray 5 string 3eq with humbucker and single coil with matching headstock. Comes with its original MM case which is also in next to mint condition. I ordered this bass at the tail end of 2012 and waited 6 months for it to be built to my spec and to be delivered. I've never seen any in this configuration in shops or on here second hand which is why I had it made up especially. It was bought to match my fretless Stingray 5 and they make a fine pair. Since it arrived, its only seen studio use on a couple of occasions and a handful of gigs. The only marks on it are on the scratch plate from where I've slapped it and my fingernails have made some fine marks. There's no fret wear and no other marks anywhere. The case was used once and has some small scuffs on the feet, the bass has lived in a full flight case for the rest of the time. It's currently strung with Elixir 40-125 with a 2mm action and is fitted with Schaller strap locks which will remain attached and included in the price. It hurts to let this one go but a change in my situation is forcing some fundraising and this is the bass I'm least attached to as it's still so new! So, I'm not really looking for trades but may consider a part ex as long as the bulk of the deal is cash. Bass is currently in Maidstone, Kent and is available to be tried at Music Matters in Maidstone (www.musicmattersdirect.co.UK), where I work. The shop is open 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) and if I'm not there and you happen to pop by, one of the guys I work with can help out.otherwise let me know when you're coming and I'll make sure I'm there! Failing that I'm happy for home visits too. I will ship at no extra cost but only to UK mainland. There's not really any further movement on my price as this bass was just shy of £2k new and is in such good condition. If anyone's really bothered about the scratch plate, I'll supply a brand new MM one :-) Any questions give me a yell! Chris

Took a bass as a part ex from Andy last month. Good deal, no hassle whatsoever, Andy is a thoroughly nice chap who was true to his word and I wholeheartedly recommend him as a seller and buyer! Thanks again Andy :-)

Bass is still available, I'm around a little more now for a couple of weeks so might be able to meet someone somewhere if getting to Kent for a collection is difficult!

Hi Molly, bass is still available and can be found at Music Matters 114 Week Street, Maidstone Kent ME14 1RH they're open 9am to 5:30pm and only closed on Sundays.

yes it's still available although I do have someone coming to look at it tomorrow. Good chance I won't be around much over the next week or so due to some gigs that have just come in , however the bass can still be tried bought and collected from my local music shop in Maidstone Kent. It would need to be a cash purchase or bank transfer to me in advance as the shop are doing me a favour by holding it for me and not actually selling it on my behalf!

Pictures added bump! I've only put closeups of the little marks it's picked up over the last couple of years. These are the only cosmetic marks, there's not even any real signs of wear on the fingerboard, just minor string marks. If anyone wants any other pictures please just get in touch. I know it's taken ages for me to get round to posting these, but I'm not on the road as much now so I can get online more easily!!

Still available. I should have said in my ad that the bass is for collection only or I can meet someone halfway between here and whenever they are in the uk (or something), not able to ship at the moment as I'm not around enough to sort it out. Also, after being given my orders from the general (my wife) I've been told I can't take another acoustic upright as a trade (2 is too many already apparently!) so.... Any trades would need to be another EUB or its just a straight cash purchase please :-)

I should probably mention this bass has the Jazz bridge fitted!

Still available bump!

Hi folks, I haven't been on here for a while so bear with me if I'm a little rusty in the usual etiquette! I'm selling my Yamaha SLB200 Silent Double Bass as it doesn't get the use it deserves (about 10/12 gigs in 2 years!). It's in very good condition with only a few little "gigging" dinks. It comes fitted with what I believe to be the standard adjustable bridge and it has the optional knee rest plate which fits onto the back of the frame. Also comes with its original semi rigid foam case/gig bag. Awesome instrument with a great tone and is currently set with a very low & light action. Not sure what strings are on it as they are what were fitted when I bought it! They still sound ok and hold their pitch nicely which is why I've not bothered changing them! The bass can currently be seen & played in Music Matters in Maidstone, Kent (this is also where I'm based), between 9am & 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday, or I'm happy to arrange a viewing at my home in the evenings, I'd just need a few days notice as I'm often out the area for gigs. Detailed pictures on request, otherwise I'll try and get some taken and posted on here in the next few days any way. Ideally I'm looking for just a cash sale at £1250 ovno as I'm aiming to fund another purchase but if anyone has anything tasty to offer as a trade or even p/x I might be tempted! I'm particularly on the look out for another EUB but something with a bit more of a body to it. I'm used to playing a 4/4 upright so this feels a little on the small side which is why it doesn't get all that much! Cheers, Chris PS . I don't always get email notifications from this site (not sure why) so if I don't respond straight away, please bare with me! C
I'm selling my Stentor Student II 3/4 bass as I'm in need of a larger bass. These come out a little smaller than some other instruments and being 6'2" I'm finding it a little on the short side! Never been a problem up until the last 18 months as it only came out for the odd jazz gig once in a blue moon but since then, I've been playing more upright than electric. So....after recurring back problems (trapped nerves and various other very painful problems) I'm on the hunt for a bass I can play standing as straight as possible!! Details are as follows. I'll get some pictures up in a couple of days as I'm away from the bass at the moment. Stentor Student II 3/4 all solid Strung with Spirocore Medium tension strings (fitted 3 months ago after experimenting with a few other types) Low action, Solid Carved spruce front Solid maple back and sides Ebony top nut Ebony fingerboard Alloy tailpiece Spare adjustable bridge (cut to fit this bass beautifully) not fitted at this time Spare tail wooden (unknown stained hardwood) tail piece Spare tail guts High quality heavy duty gig bag with 40mm padding also water proof (to a degree) which was (£149) Think I've still got a set of Weedwhacker strings I'll chuck in with it too, they were fitted for about 2 weeks but I couldn't get on with them, Its been Gigged and had a few knocks and dings but no cracks or splits and has never had any repairs at all. I'm after around £750 for it. They go for £875 new but then you're looking at another £50 just to have it set up + you've got £300 worth of cover & and strings with it. The bass can be heard here: http://www.goosebumpsmusic.co.uk/audio.html If you go to the videos section there's a clip filmed in the studio which was just the dry monitor mix we had in our cans during recording, you can hear the bass before any production was done. The bass is in Maidstone, Kent if anyone want's to try it. I'm afraid I'm willing to ship it so it's collection only. I might be interested in a trade if someone has a larger similar spec upright, but ideally I want cash for it. I don't always get notifications for things I post on here so if don't reply straight away please bare with me, I'll check back every day or so alternatively you can email me at:
I'm selling my Stentor Student II 3/4 bass as I'm in need of a larger bass.
