Is this what you're trying to say?
Hi all, For sales or trades are the following 2 guitars. Please read descriptions properly and understand the condition of these guitars. I will add photos when not doing This on my phone and can be emailed or messaged to anyone who wants to see them. 1997 Korean Squier Telecaster Gorgeous maple neck (always gets positive comments, recent custom cut nut and std tuners) Really nice weight body, slab on belt cut, string through the bridge, no string holes through body. Body has been sanded and painted black and sanded. Looks semi relic but not done well (I was 17!) gaffa tape on both strap buttons and on body next to them. White esquire, perloid while (and if I find it, original white) pick guards included. Electrics have been wired as esquire but not done well and would need rewiring. Neck pickup not included (unless I find it somewhere). Oval screwed on Jack socket has been added. This instrument does play and puts out a noise in current state. Included is moulded soft case. Sort of looks like a gig bag but is foam mould for tele and can go on back. Squier vintage modified Custom tele This is the older model that has to two std humbuckers, not a tele custom. Neck has been tru oiled but needs finishing and buffing. Is starting to gloss but isn't finished. Tuners are included but not fitted. No nut on neck. Body (black, poly/ original) and scratch plate are all fine. Screw on Jack socket added. I bought Axes r us deluxe humbuckers that have not been fitted so there is no wiring inside guitar but sale includes new pickups and whatever pots I can find. Comes in economy non branded gig bag. These guitars MUST go together unless two members agree both. But I don't want to be left with one. I'm happy to take offers on the price, it is definitely not set in stone. I would also consider trades for pedals or amps/ heads. I just don't have the conviction to fix these both up and play bass all the time anyway. Any questions please ask. Again, photos can be provided. http://s12.photobuck...nes999/library/ Please take these off me!
I guess the nice white Fender that's also shown in the Photobucket folder isn't included, or is it? I have to say I found the description confused. If I'm confused, so will any other buyer. If they're confused they won't buy. GLWTS

Thomann selling Harley Benton basses as 'Decoration only'
Grangur replied to Annoying Twit's topic in Bass Guitars
£40 well spent. And to think you were talking about packing it all in
Hmmm that comes an goes. I'm really still at the struggle end of learning and work gets in the way. So sometimes I just feel I'm not getting anywhere. My Dad died with a set of golf clubs and a load of lessons behind him. He never really learned to play. When he was gone and we were clearing his gear out my Mum said, "It's sad really. It was all a pipe-dream". I'd hate to go and folk talk about me and the bass in the same way. That does get me. -
I mean, the bass has signs of wear. It's not A1 condition, but none of the dings etc are near the playing area so it still feels comfortable to play. Everything has a lovely 'worn in' feel. So, if I went for a black guard, would black hardware be too much? Or keep it to nickel/non shiny chrome hardware? Yes, we're losing too many good people!!
Just in case there's any misunderstanding. I'm sure you wouldn't want any "real" work done, but he could provide a nice pick guard.

Congratulations! What happened to the bass? And if you don't have it, do you wish you did?

Thomann selling Harley Benton basses as 'Decoration only'
Grangur replied to Annoying Twit's topic in Bass Guitars
New Bass Day!! Yes, the HARLEY BENTON B-450 BLACK PROGRESSIV has landed. Apart from the customary "D" on the neck and body, there's a small mark on the back of the body - you can see it in one of the pics. The blend pot is a bit stiff and there might be a slight need for dressing the frets as there's a bit of fret rattle on the E string. I'm happy though. I was all set for an immediate change of strings, probably followed by a set of pups, but it all sounds fine to me. All that for £40. -
Second Hand Bass with considerable damage on arrival - what you would do?
Grangur replied to Naetharu's topic in Bass Guitars
What the OP also needs to think about is, OK he may have paid a bit OTT, but if the bass cleans up, is it worth paying that bit OTT for knowing how grat it plays and sits - you can't put a price on missing out on all that buying blind off evilbay -
Bottom line is if your not happy send it back .. doesnt really matter what anyone else thinks, they didn't pay for it.
Would anyone else like to buy it from the OP at the price he paid? -
Thank you guys! I am so so pleased with this bass! I'm going to look for a black U.S. Plate with the slot for the truss rod adjustment on it. Yup I think it'll look cool!!
You've had quite a result there. But where is the Bass Doc when we need him. He's another we sadly miss.
I agree with this. I have both, and for me the streamer is way more comfortable. Where it sits and how it plays
The OP has pulled the trigger on something else now, but he's more than welcome the drive 1 hour to me and try mine out - well worth the effort if you're serious about a Warwick.

Grangur replied to Naetharu's topic in Bass Guitars
In fairness to the seller, I imagine they get a used bass in, photographs are taken and it's shelved, waiting for a buyer. If the bass takes a while to sell dirt and light corrosion can happen during the waiting. Also, most things look better in the picture. -
I'm thinking about putting a black guard on it, what do you think?
That would look good. I do find plain white very bland.
Hehe, aye, if only I was into relic work then its a great example
I was never into mojo until I got a Corvette that needed some tlc. I was going to re-spray it, but after I'd done some remedial work I really liked it. -

Can you clean up the corrosion with some Autosol, or other cleaner? Otherwise the mojo may be really cool, perhaps? -

Don't delay telling the seller that you're not happy. Tell him you're undecided what you want to do and you'll be back in touch. Then think about your options: 1 Return and full refund 2 Partial refund You could ask the seller which of the 2 he would prefer. Maybe he'd rather give a full refund, in the hope that he can stitch up some other mug. Edit: According to their web site £678 would get you a brand new version. That price was not cheap. Myself I'd return it for a full refund -
I've got a Thumb BO, Corvette Jazz, Streamer LX fretless and Streamer Stage 1. All are German made. The Streamers are a lot better than the other 2. If I had to sell all basses but 1, I'd keep the Streamer Stage 1, no hesitation.

fender jazz buzzes when i touch strings? Any ideas?
Grangur replied to skidder652003's topic in Repairs and Technical
Yes it's safe In fact probably more safe as then your strings are totally isolated.
If this is true, why do the manufacturers ever fit the earth? The earth is there in case a fault was to occur. The only way to electrically isolate your strings would be to cover them in insulating material. Trust me, there is something wrong with your bass. You simply haven't found it. -

Interesting. How did you come across this?

Just sold Stuart my P-bass. Nice easy transaction. He's a nice guy to deal with. Many thanks Stuart. Cheers Richard
Lovely looking bass body with Dimarzio pick ups: http://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/vintage-loaded-precision-bass-guitar-body-.made-in-japan.-dimarzios./1128901272
Would this not cost only slightly more if it had a neck attached? I'm sure I'm getting too cynical. -
Woo! i popped a maple neck on my deko jazz as the rosewood one had dead spots and i love it, cheapest bass i own and normally the one i pick up for mucking about at home! I also manged to convince myself i didn't need a progressive deko for a project as iv got far too many basses and guitars now, so glad they've finally gone!
I've just received mine. Man, did you miss out! -
