The listing is obviously one of many they may have multiples available or you can tell from there other items , that they sell lots of stuff and its a money making venture. This kind of seller is running a [b]business[/b] I expect to treat them identically to the way iI would treat buying from any other music store online, The postage and packaging charge they are charging is usually also much higher / not that reasonavle as they are looking to have a cheaper item than all the rest and sideloading profit on the delivery costs. [/quote] Sometimes a business will charge less for shipping as they may choose to pass on the benefit of rates they have negotiated with a carrier, in order to make the product more attractive to the buyer. Gear4Music is a case in point for this, when they're selling off B stock.

Fender Rumble 15. They're good practice amps and can be bought on eBay for about £40-50. He can sort out a gigging set up later.

Besides if you were selling something that goes out of stock, and I placed an order with you, and you were in that position, you'd mail me and we'd discuss it. Whenever I sell through BC. Gumtree or eBay I always mail the buyer and get the gear posted asap. Besides that's normal isn't it? Over the last month I've bought 2 basses and a small combo. I've still yet to receive anything! The seller of the first bass told me after me raising a case that he was locked out of his account. 2 weeks later I'm still waiting. Last week I bought another bass. A Squier VM Jazz. That still hasn't been posted, according to the eBay info anyway. 2-3 days ago I bought a combo. That's still not shipped. On all of these I'm also getting no response to messages. Is this becoming normal practice these days?

I, just like many others I'm sure, have just received an email from eBay telling me of the wonders of selling stuff with free delivery on EBay now qualifies for buyers to use Click and Collect, where they can select to have you despatch to their local Argos, so they can collect from there. Initially it all looks good, especially if the buyer is out all day working. Watch out however!! There are size and weight restrictions. As many here will know, a packed bass will be very close to being 1.2m long. This is the limit over which Argos won't accept goods. If your package is bigger than 1.2m Argos may dispose of the item! Just thought I'd share this.

So am I reading this right; it seems they don't fail on you when in use, you arrive at the practice studio and you find them not working? I recommend you start taking your amp home. YOU might not abuse it, but others may not be so careful. Is someone connecting a lower impedance cab than is recommended? Or some other problem? Fact: electronic devices don't fail when not in use, unless it's water or heat damage, and you'd see signs of that.

I think if this were new, the question of accepting is dependent upon the price of the bass. But this isn't something you are in a position to argue. This is a matter of quality control. It isn't damaged. So, yes it's in mint condition. Should the seller have declared it? That's a matter of opinion. As for fixing it: You say you can feel it. Does it stick out or is it a slot? If it's a slot I'd get a sharp, fine blade and scratch out the black, sand it and fill it with hard wax of a light colour.

Also, there's only a small chance of this working as the bottom edge of the cover will be tight against the nut.

Fender instruments are manufactured on a modern production line. All fitting of pickups will be done using a jig that decides precisely the position of the pickup. The pickguards will all be identical. If this is a genuine Fender there is no way the pups would be out of line. If it is a Fender and the pups are out of line this will because someone has modded it badly.

If your switches work as I suspect they do, your answer is 'no'. But as I'm on holiday with nothing but a phone to work from I can't 're-draw your diagram for you. Maybe someone else can. Or ask Kiogon for a harness: he does a great job and you probably won't pay him much more than you'd be paying for the parts.
